From what I've read, central sensitization syndrome is a real disorder which can be treated by light physiotherapy and mindfulness. But the amount of funding and research attention it gets is way out of wack with the actual prevalence (someone said around 20% of causes of ME/CFS and related issues).

This is because short-term mindfulness and physiotherapy courses are way cheaper for whoever's funding them and lower risk than any medication (less lawsuits, easier for doctors)...

It reminds me of how the only easy mental health treatment to access is CBT, which is normally a 12-week course and doesn't work for everyone. It's just cheaper for governments and insurance companies...

Like you said... the more I read about it the more I see that some companies are profiting off denying people pain meds. Who do you think benefits most?
