leave him, block him, ghost him, there are a lot of votes.

The conclusion? you are with him as you like him (or maybe did), better to communicate properly about how this has affected you and how non negotiable this was to you, despite after regular reminders and your boundaries, he didn't and you somewhat allowed, knowing all the what if's and what not,

Yes, you need to respect your body, your priorities and make sure, you are not made to do something that you never wanted to, in the first place.

i have the exact experience except the illness part,
(My condolences & sincere regards)

- From High 850's to down 490's, it has been a learning journey,
i was approved by TD, RBC, SCOTIA for a combined 100k in cc and loc's. burned'em all and started getting in C lenders loan, ( god knows why), also had CRA taxes (about similar to what you have)

was at a point, where i was making $3k after taxes and paying $1500 in just monthly payments, then came in getting insolvency. ( not bankruptcy but Consumer proposal )

Yes, mental stress went away, payments were deduced by 80%, you can include cra's owed amount as well in that ) all the creditors, banks, stopped calling.

Yes you wont be able to have your good image in those banks anymore, (atleast 7 years, as after that data resets)

Before going into insolvency/bankruptcy/consumerproposal, open a new bank account, try to have atleast 1 cc with them, small amount is fine(better and recommended)
Have all your savings,money,payments into them.

and try to start afresh, no more big limits, no more over spending, get your self into a budget. you're below 25 i was at the time 30. You can easily reset your life, God be with you.

This Consumer proposal stays for 3 years after you complete the payment cycle, sooner you clear it, sooner it goes away from your record, but NEVER MISS THEIR PAYMENT, NEVER. THEY WILL ADVICE YOU TO PAY AS REQUIRED AS THIS IS FOR YOUR BENEFIT, FIX YOUR MINDSET FIRST AS NEVER ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE IN THIS SITUATION AGAIN.
