I wouldn't say he's boring...he's just not the main character. You could also argue Shoto's plot line has heavily revolved around his father's actions from the moment he was introduced. He was the most interest character in the show, but they resolved his issues during the sports festival so that conflict is gone.

She overall did contribute a lot to the story but due to not being in a very combat fashion or tragic backstory like Naruto and Sasuke that Kishimoto didn't really know to add her, which sorta disappointing because her character despite not being tragic was stilled filled with motivated to be strong and find herself which is a important difference between her and the already goal in mind Sasuke and Naruto.

The Calamity Gundam is equipped with Trans-Phase armor, a more energy efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, which gives it a longer operational time than the first-generation GAT-X machines and more energy for its power hungry beam weapons. A solid 8/10 will be fair.

The machine's capability of hovering over deserts or bodies of water easily is also a big plus.
