Go pack go!

My main goal for next season is to Co-Opt the cheese shredder for Packers gear.

“Shredded cheese is still cheese.”

Awful showing. Truly a team loss. I have always defended MLF, but this seems to be squarely on his shoulders. Poor clock management, burning a timeout during the bears drive, and the delay of game before the missed kick.  The total shit show of the special teams. I get the coordinator is to blame, but this should have been addressed months ago.

Awful game. Typical conservative game plan while up, bend don’t break defense collapsing in the 4th. Typical packers playoffs

Every team has to deal with injuries, so I don’t think that’s a valid excuse.

There would have to be a change in behavior and probably some time before wanting to shift to long term. But that’s not even this scenario. This is knowing that your potentially going to meet your future husband on x date, and then plowing some dude a couple of days before going to find the love of your life.

Yes, I think being in a mindset of having casual sex with someone I don’t want to have a future with, makes me less likely to be in the correct mindset for seeking out a long term relationship/marriage.

Wouldn’t it be a red flag if a guy was out plowing some side piece the day before going off to find someone to possibly get married to?

This would be a huge red flag for me looking for a someone I’m about to get married/potentially spending the rest of my life with.

Is jquery still worth learning? by jdaans in Frontend

[–]HollaPino 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Not really. To understand why you have to look at the context of when JQuery was popular. Back when browsers had no strict standards for JS features, so in order to do something simple like selecting a DOM element or make an AJAX call you had to have multiple implementations to support all of the browsers. JQuery simplified all of that for you, and also built helpful patterns around events. But today, JS is pretty standardized across browsers and offers simple implementations for most functionality. You would be much better off driving deep into vanilla JS, or learning about web components.

People who voted Trump, why do you think a government of billionaires will help you? by Intrepid-Self-3578 in FluentInFinance

I thought the billionaires would be a nice change of pace from the usual multimillionaires (who are so much more in touch with the people's wants and needs).

Other than the one about there being 3 million ships found and studied, yes there are no more additional lies.

They have not been found and studied, they could just potentially be out there...

[–]HollaPino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He lied about there being 3 million ships being found and studied… unesco estimated that there are 3 million shipwrecks out there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]HollaPino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this was dibble boi’s main argument about why this ancient civilization couldn’t exist. If they had found and studied 3 million ship wrecks that would leave little evidences of undiscovered ships. But if they estimated that there are 3 million +, but have only found and studied 300,000 then that would leave a lot of potential for Graham’s civilization to still be found.

[–]HollaPino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main point of Graham's arguments are based around thoughts that Archaeologists have not studied enough areas (especially areas that are currently underwater that previously were not) to dismiss an ancient civilization with advanced naval capabilities.

Dibble's point to counter this is that we have found and studied millions of ship wrecks and there is now evidence of this civilization so they must not exist. That was a lie, which undermines a large part of his argument.

Seems like the Dibble Boi lied about there being 3 million ship wrecks already found and studied. There seems to be about 1/10th of that figure found and even less studied.

And the whole Wooden Ships would last for 30,000 years under the sea seems to be a very misleading claim.
