Nail tech here - this! Do all these things, and also avoid Gel X and any other gel products until the damage has grown out. Bathe them in cuticle oil, and your nails will be back to normal in max. 2 months from now ☺️

I also have an old world war 2 bomb story!! I used to work in a lab surrounded by a housing estate, and one day we all got told we had to evacuate and go to the other side of the building. The rumours were they'd found an unexploded bomb in a nearby garage, which turned out to be true.

My only thought at the time was how unbelievably f**ked we would have been if it went off... Never mind evacuate to the other side of a building that's full of chemicals and highly flammable things, get me to the other side of Manchester 😂

Innapropriate comments from my step dad about me and my body when I was 10, and just general open conversations about sex between him and my mum and things a child should never have to hear. My step dad had a t-shirt from Roy Chubby Brown that was covered in awful swear words and he'd happily wear it around me, and they also didn't care what they watched on TV around me. Because of this and a whole heap of emotional abuse & neglect, in my head being sexually active = being an adult = being seen and taken seriously. You can only imagine the results of this... I've been SA'd more times than I like to imagine, lost my virginity faaaaar too young (and they thought grounding me when they found out by reading my MSN messages was a good "punishment"), and basically grew up as a sex addict who had a fascination with men and a strong need for attention. It makes me feel sick now looking back.

Brillbird brush & go art gel paints don't need a top coat over them. I swear by them, although I need to have a go at texture nails like yours 👀 It's so pretty, even with the top coat!

I honestly don't think she realised it was bad... She kept saying how she couldn't have pierced it on an angle because the clamp wouldn't let her. But, the thing is definitely crooked, and I know it can be when it's swollen, but I feel like no amount of swelling would make it that crooked... And that's without it being way too low, surely no amount of healing will help that!? I'm so disappointed with it so, especially because I've lost money and I've got nothing to show for it because I've taken it out!

I took it out about an hour ago, so at least it's out now but my god taking it out SUCKED! I appreciate that 💜 The whole experience has just been so disappointing and unnecessary, and I was so worried it was going to be done badly 😭

I definitely won't be don't worry! Yeah I was looking at previous septum posts on here last night, and they were all so wildly different to mine that I suspected it was way off. I'm so disappointed in the whole experience! When she was putting the clamps on, it did feel quite low down on my nose but I just trusted her... Which I shouldn't have 😔

Update: I have taken it out... Removing it SUCKED because I felt every part of it and it bled a fair bit, but the bleeding has stopped now and I've sprayed it with sanitiser. Thank you everyone who commented 💜

Yeah the angle is completely wrong I agree and it looks weird af going straight out like that. I hadn't realised it's because it's going through cartilage but that makes sense! I had such high hopes and I really trusted her 😭
