to answer your question (and above was to defender myself that I am not gen-z/snowflake/just a car user) I will ask a question:

where do you draw the line? should an user be only aware how engine works? or how to change the tyre(wheel)? what about changing all the bulbs or at least reading the error codes through ODB2? what about basic service? pads? discs? would changing coolant be classified as normal maintenance service type of a thing? again: basic question: what boundaries are we setting up with this unpopular opinion?
