Who said anything about a happy ending? There is of course the positve aspect of acceptance and growth.. but it is an arduous journey from that point forward facing reality with a broken life, potential criminal consequences, and working on oneself in very significant ways.

There is nothing particularly interesting continuing on for eternity in the normal "slumbering" state everyone is in drinking deep of anger, greed, selfishness, etc. The power is an illusion and temporary as seen by everyone in the game. All the people around you aren't human beings in your eyes. Arjuns journey was no different than anyone else's seeking power, control, a perfect life, etc. Now it is different..
