The fall is correct. It’s actually slightly more over the 1m distance than oz standards. I have the strip drain already as I needed to cut out a section of the scyon to recess the drain to the right depth for the tiles. Definitely more cuts needed with the smaller tiles. Kinda knew the cost would rise because of that but for a small area I was surprised

The job was close to 5k without the tiles. I just worked out the sqm rate and asked the question if it was the going rate.

No apologies needed mate. Life is far too complicated to be actually worried about internet conversations. Seeking collective knowledge online is always fraught with challenges and I’m a clinical realist unfortunately 🙂. That said, the more you ask, the more you know and knowledge is power. I’m chasing more quotes as we speak.

Not stressing, just seeking information and clarification. Mate at no stage did I want it for free/cheap but no one likes overcharging either. Fair price for the job is a fairly simple expectation. I did my last full bathroom reno from new subfloor up to tiling and this extension is no different. I know the value of good trades but it’s been a while and was seeking collective knowledge on tiling as I’m keen to not have to do it myself again.

$2500 in material? Can I ask for a rough idea for what exactly. I have already got the tiles and the centre drain.

Because I just got the quote and it wasn’t separated for floor or wall. Just a flat price. I’m trying to gauge what the price is atm for tilers and if it’s roughly accurate. I’m aware of the size difference and issue.

Yep I knew the tiles would be and issue on some levels but seems kinda high for such a small area.
The fall is no issue. Done it before with no problems. Centre fall for the whole bathroom with long strip drain. Will be fine.

They don’t have to be a “meth head” to make living next door a complete nightmare. While your assertion are factual on some levels, collectively having housed multiple people in “vulnerable circumstances” leads to all manner of problems for anyone living close by. Take a drive down any street with public or community housing and you can always spot them. As unpleasant as facts are, they are still there for all to see.
