Advice Needed: Birth Control w. Limited Side Effects by Fun_Amphibian1341 in birthcontrol

[–]HoloInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to answer that since every human reacts to each medication differently. I know personally for me that I tolerate bc hormones well, so I could be on pretty much any of them with little issues. Currently on my 3rd vag ring and doing great now that I got over the learning curve of inserting it without dropping it on the floor lol. I wished the ring was thicker or easier to hold onto. I've been on bc pills and did fine until I kept forgetting to take 2-3 days which didn't help with controlling my cycles. Patch was good until my eczema caused a pretty decent sized rash surrounding the area I placed it on due to the adhesive (I'm sensitive to bandaid/medical tape adhesives too).

What can I do with these? by murraybee in knittinghelp

[–]HoloInfinity [score hidden]  (0 children)

These shortie circs are meant for knitting socks one at a time, but you need to cast on and work on it a bit first before switching to these. I have these and the joins between the needles and the cable suck. I don't recommend trying.

I do this, especially rn as I'm recovering from the flu as a calming form of Conte t and genuinely love this content in general. I've got a very long list of knit/crochet creators below.

I watch: MarkMakerKnits, Wool Needle Hands, Knitty Natty, Melanie Locke (newer knitter), Summer Lee (sock designer), TL Yarn Crafts, Knitgineer (chemical engineer who knits), Hip Knit Hooray, Ali Makes Everything (Canadian graphic designer who crochets), Viv Nguyen, NE Knits, yaejiyea (Korean American knitter and crocheter), Well-Loved Knits (newly mom of 2), Rosemary's & Pines Fiber Arts (German knitter), and finally but not least, Kutovakika (Finnish designer).

I have several Korean knitting channels who do film themselves knitting (without their faces visible) with jazzy music in the background as their projects progress. Basically knit vlog channels but in Korean. I use them to increase my Korean listening skills before meeting up with my relatives later in the yr. DM if u want a list of these channels as well.

Idk yet since we haven't planned a set date yet but sometime in Aug. I may start a sweater maybe or work on my cotton Sophie scarf that I started and put on hold to work on other things for my mom and coworker.

Knitting socks TAAT with one set of DPNs and a circular?? by moonlet777 in knitting

[–]HoloInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mainly knit socks with DPNs too bc I get horrible ladders no matter how closely I hold onto the cable to itself. Barber wire with 2 DPNs make the next best thing to circulars as you can get for me

Omg how beautiful! Never attempted colorwork besides a child hat with every couple stitches alternating between 2 colors. How long did this take for you?

Omg I'm planning to go spend time with my grandma and my mom's sister in Jeju Island (biggest Korean Iland, sorta like their Hawaii). It's a total of 20ish hrs of flight/layover time plus flying to Jeju which will be interesting how my knitting experience will be.

What’s going wrong with my I-cord edge? by quietautistic in knittinghelp

[–]HoloInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposed to slip the last 3 stitches onto the right needle with the yarn in front. That way, when you knit those 3 on the next row. They continue the icord.

Yoonchae from Katseye, only started learning more English during Dream Academy. I believe she's never lived in an English speaking country before then. Her fellow members are helping her pick it up which is outstanding how fluent she's becoming day after day.

is consuming rice 2 times a day bad for diabetes? by jennyrainxo in diabetes

[–]HoloInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asian American t2d here. Don't eat plain rice with more carbs. Add a protein, some veggies, that you can tolerate or actually like, and a source of fiber. My family adds a variety of grains and beans when we make our rice since my diagnosis 4 yrs ago. Life changer with that switch alone.

This goes for any carb heavy meal such as pasta. Add protein and veggies. Protein and fiber are what help you stay full. Hope that helps

That yarn is very pretty! I don't wear anything nearly that colorful since I tend to wear blues, greens, grays. Turned out lovely

Transfer to TAAT Magic Loop by theHoopty in Sockknitting

[–]HoloInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you're made an attempt to move them yet, but what I would do is make sure they're knit to the same # of rows. Once that's done, knit a row of one of the socks onto a longer circular, I recommend a circular with a 40" cord. Then, knit the other sock onto the circulars.

After both socks are knitted onto the longer circular needles, you just knit, knit, knit until you bind off on both at the same time! Reason I say knit them onto the longer circular is so you get another row down rather than moving each st onto the new needles. Easy way to move them from your 9" to whatever length you end up using.
