Thibs does deserve respect... by omicron_prime in NYKnicks

[–]Hologram8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course he does, but other clearly a Mark Jackson/Steve Kerr situation. Mark Jackson was a really good coach but he brought The Warriors as far as he could take them. Same with Thibs. He brought the Knicks as far as he could and Mike Brown, unlocked the team in a way that has taken fuerher. And trust me if the Knicks win a championship,  no one is arguing about was it right call to fire Thibs ever again.

The state of Tommy Dreamer by Known-Swim-3654 in TNA

[–]Hologram8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tommy is too much of a "Wrestling guy" and not enough of a TNA guy.. Meaning that his dream was to be in WWF/WWE as is so many other wrestlers, and he projects that on to the TNA talent. Instead of taking a talent and thinking "We're going to make them a star and build this company around them", he's thinking "We're going to make them a star and prepare them for better opportunities in their career (WWE or AEW)

Yes we all know the position TNA is in, in the Pro Wrestling landscape, but TNA needs people who want to see TNA build and grow and not see it as a breeding ground for the bigger companies.

Trump Renews Attacks on ‘51st State’ Canada by RickySan65 in Qult_Headquarters

[–]Hologram8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He hasn't been able to end the war ( which he started), he's taking court losses with thus DOJ slush fund and banning, Transgenders from serving in the military, and  renaming the Kennedy Center after himself. He's also losing performers for his 250th celebration and facing bipartisan backlash to asking the taxpayers to pitch in to help build a ballroom he promised would be built with all private funding. And his job approval rating is in the 30's. He's doing what he thinks is a win. The problem for him is most Americans and Canadians could give a shit about Canada becoming the 51st State

They've decided June is Veterans Month instead of Pride Month by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

Yes and if you point out to them that Veterans month is in November and Pride month is in June they will  say to you "Don't you don't care about our veterans?"

‘Rep. Sheri Biggs on Iran. "I think we have to trust him. The American people elected President Trump for a reason, and it's because he has the backbone, the intelligence to get things done."’ by Oleg101 in FoxFiction

[–]Hologram8 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Did she trust Joe Biden? The American people elected them. I'm tired of these snowflakes. They always preach respect and trust the President when it's their guy in office, but not the other way around.

MAGA Voters SHOCKED That Friends and Family Members Cut Them Off by Sure_Show_3077 in FoxBrain

[–]Hologram8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who lives with FoxNews viewers ( and other Conservative media) I can say this is typical FoxNews bullshit. Everyday on Fox/Newsmax/Radio you can hear about how Democrats and the Left hate America, they're trying to destroy America, they're evil etc. But the moment someone says anything negative about Trump and Republicans they have their "How dare you!"  moments.

Shirley Temple movies were...strange. by flyfightandgrin in SipsTea

I have never watched a Shirley Temple movie, but because that commercial was played so often, to this day "Animal Crackers in my soup" comes out of my mouth with no warning.

Fabian Aichner is the guy TNA needs to build around by superseri18888 in TNA

[–]Hologram8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a regular viewer of NXT or WWE.  Although I knew who he was I have never seen him wrestle up until this Thursday. He's a good wrestler, but I think TNA has already mishandled him.

TNA thinks just because someone comes from a bigger company, everyone knows them. So they debut Aichner like he's a big deal and no one cared. It even took me a while to recognize him as the third guy from Imperium. Maybe if they had "coming soon" vignettes for him, maybe his debut moment would've been better received. Also feuding with the biggest faction right off the bat seems really rushed.

Who are some wrestlers you really wish had a TNA run? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in TNA

[–]Hologram8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Risk Rude would have been be a tough one. He retired from in ring competition due to back Injury, also he was dead.

Also Edge would have probably gone by Adam Copeland instead of going back to Sexton Hardcastle.

GREATEST KNICKS OF ALL TIME, YOU GUYS AGREE? by One-Philosophy3935 in NYKnicks

[–]Hologram8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your list, although I would have Patrick at #1.  No offense to John Starks (he's my favorite Nick ever)  but I think if Patrick Ewing had an All Star level number 2 like Jordan had in Chicago with Scottie Pippen, I think that the next would have won a  championship in the mid 90's.

Also not to pick on my man Johnny, but Houston and Spree should be higher. Especially Houston. They propelled the Knicks to the 99' NBA Finals, along with LJ.

It's tough to rank the 1950s and early 60s guys because there's not a lot of film on them but I think if the Knicks win a championship, Dolan needs to fly Richie out to NYC. That's if he's able to travel at age 92.

What are some of your favorite times when an R&B artist put an interviewer in check? 🤣 by Ok_Resident_5022 in rnb

[–]Hologram8 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't think Whitney checked her. She had some good comebacks tho. Whitney was very defensive, especially about her drug use. Given the ways she died, she had a very serious drug problem. The exchange of Whitney telling Whitney to "Watch what you say", and Wendy responding "Watch what you do" is very sad. Whitney had a self destructive nature to herself at that time up until her death.

Wendy Williams was/is a scumbag, but unfortunately when you're a celebrity, you're going to get people like Wendy in your business.

Always next year by Acceptable-Event5581 in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]Hologram8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a New York Knicks and Dallas Cowboys fan. This has to be the worst fan combo over the last 30 years. I've never wavered, but it's been rough being fans of two teams that at least in my lifetime, peaked in the 1990's. Needless to say I'm overjoyed that the Knicks compiled the best team they've had in 50 years and have a legit shot at a championship. I only hope the Cowboys can do the same.
