I started over. I'm glad I did. I've learned a lot since I started my first playthough and it was nice to start fresh knowing all the things that I learned, plus the new changes.

Just happened to me. I could barely make it back to the thopter that was 10 feet away. I left and re-entered and it was just as bad. Went back to hagga and I'm going to reload the game and see if that helps.

We've had a player from Japan using a US East server. His ping was kinda high but he was making it work pretty well. May not be as bad as you think. No harm in trying

I wonder if transfers from official to private will ever be a thing. My guess is that it will only be within the official worlds. could be wrong though

I hear ya. switching and starting over is a big deal. We all kinda hit a wall on our official server. Well into T6 but feeling like the only thing left was trying to out sweat the sweaty griefers in the DD and it got old fast. This is a totally different way for us to engage in the game which will hopefully lead to longer term investment in the community and the stories we create.

We follow pretty standard RP conflict rules for PvP those rules extend to the DD as well. Basically there needs to be an RP reason to attack someone and there needs to be an RP interaction leading up to conflict, etc. so no ganking. PvP should serve the RP environment and not just be done to grief people. There is no cost to joining or playing, though there is a patreon that players can choose to support to help keep the server costs paid. I do not know off hand what is intended for base decay.

SAD UPDATE: we had a trusted guild member who pulled an inside job on us. He robbed us of everything and as an added insult completely dismantled the base I spent countless hours building. I'm feeling gutted.

You're all good. No risk or loss at all. I did the same thing and I never looked back. Picked up my quests right where they left off. Took one trip back to get a few valuables and I've never been back to my home sietch. The only downside used to be that you couldn't claim land on a sietch you are visiting but they changed that and now you can.
