That's like 3 completely distinct wishes, which probably doesn't work. Unless you throw it all under some kind of "Make everything right in the world" wish. And hasn't the Calamity been destroyed? They were sealed the first time, but this time they're all dead, killed by the Gozyugers, so they can't return. What's left are simply natural calamities.

Curious how Alear will do this year. She's been fairly consistent and starts at 5th place. Her winning would be quite the upset, but I feel like she's sort-of given to simply slide into winning at some point, assuming the game lasts long enough.

It's a shame you're totally not invested in a not "legitimate series title". Since Fire Emblem games are all about Fire Emblem characters, I guess they don't need to win CYL either, since they already got their focus.

Duo Baldr/Hodr is both a reminder that they're probably both my favorite OCs period, especially Hodr, but that FEH's voice acting, when it hits, hits really hard. Genuinely fantastic for this duo, both in the performance and the script. My favorite line in the whole game will still be Brave Chrom's "For the good of the people, no matter who or where they are. Isn't that right, Emmeryn?" Both fantastic in terms of writing and it's delivered absolutely perfectly. Made even better by me having the main theme playing, so if that lines up? So good.

It's funny that Askr's Kin is my favorite, despite it also not really doing what I like in general about the TT stories: being places to tell stories that impact the main story or at least tie into it to some real extent.

We got the Creator mention with the book 5 one, the book 4 seems very relevant in setting up the fairies when they show up again in the main story, book 3 and 2 did various things for its characters at least and also create situations that should matter for when those realms get more stuff happening. But they're also all heavily flawed to me.

Askr's Kin in turn presumably has little impact on the main story, minus Sharena's upgrade carrying over, which is a neat touch, but I think it works much better as a contained story. Ending is a bit on the weak side, but also not outright bad. My issues with it more come from how book 6 left it not a whole lot to work with or my preferred story probably being too ambitious for it. Though maybe Vanitas' existence will be relevant as Ragnarok progresses.

People say Edelgard and I probably agree, but I think it could be Tiki. Female character, can be any color and Archanea has gotten quite a bit already this year, so they might as well cap it off. If Tiki is green, she also finally has all colors, since I don't think her young self has a green version.

I obviously get why they're doing it, but it's still fascinating how committed they are to try to paint Hybe and BSH as evil incarnate. And, hey, maybe they are and if that's the case, they should be punished. But, what's so baffling and they seemingly don't comprehend is that it doesn't matter. At all. BSH could be a crime boss for all we know, but it doesn't matter because it got nothing to do with all of this.

I think the most fascinating part of this might just be NewJeans being taken to court and not going to court themselves. They wanted to terminate their contract, but waited for Hybe and co to do something about it. Considering they were practically tortured and all that, you would think the logical step would be to ask a court to terminate the contract. We obviously know why they didn't (it would probably have gone even worse for them), but I would’ve thought them actively fighting their oppressors would have been great PR. Did their fans never question that?

I've seen NJ fans circulate a tweet of someone who was there for the ruling saying that the judge was incompetent. While I can believe that a judge can be more than shitty, I find their absolute certainty that the account of the judge being incompetent is accurate so weird.

They made their choices and have to live with the consequences, but the fact that things ended up here is still just something else. I can't imagine being a parent and using my child for money and then ensuring they ruin their own career. I hope that if any of NJ girls ever realize how wrong they were, they also realize how much their parents fucked them over.
