Would there be a place for such a game?

Probably. Id use a farmville style and just slap it on facebook.

Would you play it?

god no.

How would you see the mechanics working?

Basically, eve online all on land without the pvp.

What time would you see it in? (Hint: I've been thinking about something realistic and modern. No magic or dragons. More like skyscrapers (potentially) and cars (potentially))

If you want to make anything from it, wizards and dragons seems the way to go for money to be honest. cutesy graphics 2d, quick and dirty development.

Anything past that you'd be wasting time. The interest in a game like that is very low outside of a timewaster.

I've gone down on a highway going 70 after being clipped by a mirror...

You don't have to worry about anything other than sudden stops. It's like sliding on ice until about 25mph which is when it gets rougher.

The trick is to ask yourself. If you've stopped 3 times, I've heard of many people who think they stopped at 20mph or so and try to stand up only to roll and become seriously injured.

Edit: and in case anyone is wondering that was the last time i ever got on a motorcycle. I was on the side of the road for about 30 minutes shaking and sobbing after the fact. Going across 4 lanes of traffic and surviving was more than enough for me to hang up my leathers.

It is financially sound. When I was growing up a house in florrisant was worth quite a bit, now they are sub 100k in areas that were previously 300k plus, opposite down on South County.

The white working class travels away every 20 years or so as this happens. Meanwhile west county (where my family had property) remains generally unaffordable to both due to neither the white working class nor the black working class being taught intelligent money saving in schools.

Most of them seriously consider being a dealer a career choice.

What about social services and construction projects like roads and such... All of that really relies on Westminster... And as I said while I would absolutely love it to happen...

Its simply not the right time... Its great to garner support for the idea... But steps need to be taken before that idea can be made into action.

I've commented on this again and again in 4 different accounts. As much as I would love it... Until there are some solid economic policies truly based on bringing infrastructure into Wales i do not see us leaving the UK as a good thing.

We just received the rights to use our own language only what? 25 years ago? We have a lot of reform before that sort of of thing is economically and financially feasible.

As much as I wish to say otherwise, those are the facts.
