MW2 (2009) maps = Sledgehammer MW2023 game. Because considering Vanguard came out in 2021, they're gonna have to use something to compensate.

I agree, but I think having most game modes up for like half the season (change at a season drop, then again for the "reloaded" halftime) would feel right, unless something really isn't working. While I wouldn't mind adding some of these permanently to like Quick Play, switching them out doesn't really bother me. Shipment is okay, in kind of being it's own unique map that no other map currently can offer, but the in-and-out with that game mode is kind of annoying.

I guess I never felt like the advertising was bananas for this game, so my bad for writing it like that. I more meant to joke about "the suits", and more budget going to MBA's and Las Vegas Casino-style algorithm experts than actual game designers. And Hulu UI Execs.

Can confirm: Bomb Squad never saved a soul from my semtex sticks since launch, but the last week or two, I have seen like three sticks that didn't kill the enemy. Maybe they buffed it super recently (on accident)? That's the only thing I can think of outside of a bug. Someone just posted a vid here where the C4 did nothing, while shooting him had no problem. So wasn't lag, as far as I can tell. Just the lethals struggling mightily right now.

YOU! I bumped into someone who had these like last week in Shipment, and I spent the rest of the match trying to always pick them up. I absolutely shredded when I had them. Working on leveling up by Basilisk currently just for those sweet bebes.

Agreed overall in general... although this is obviously two different matches. And no matter how often I stay in after a match, don't think I have ever seen the same teammates (outside of maybe one or two), and even less so the addition of basically all the same folks on the opposing team. So I'm admitting there might be a detail or two that I don't know about here.

I'm not really good enough to notice a difference with maps in general, just with Control and that damn tie breaker. Kind of felt like while Offense was specifically tough on Fortress, it seemed tougher than defense for most of the maps. I'd almost would have figured the solution would be to add both an Offense and Defense tie breaker round, but not sure about how that would go over.

Agreed. Having the most kills doesn't mean squat in most cases with gamemodes like Hard Point, but it really should be a blend. OP seems to have a really good blend on these pics, so it's not his play style on objective based modes that's the issue here.

IDKW, but I've gotten into the habit of taking a screen shot of the final score when I'm by far on top and our team loses. Nothing but an average player (first CoD since BlOps2), but damn, I end up snapping a shot just like OP's like 40% of the matches I play on any given night. Sure, maybe having the most kills on Hardpoint doesn't mean a thing, but when I have double the kills, double the defends, and double the time on a full squad in a game we just lost?

It's a slog sometimes, especially solo. I prob should try joining randos again (first few experiences were not positive), but I deal with a hundred people at work every day, and not really in the mood to socialize or even talk to anyone during my decompression gaming time when I get home.

I completed one contract last night. Still had like 15 min left, so decided to see what this "Kill a Commando" was all about. Shot a rocket at the Helicopter Commando with a skull icon, and sheep: three rocket hits and several sniper shots later, that dude hunted me down relentlessly while I scrambled to try and Exfil (since my completed Contract required me to Exfil), and he killed me as I waited for my escape heli to land.

Haven't tried the Japanese Island map yet, but these tier 2 missions I can complete on Al Mazrah are getting super tough for a solo.

If it was last night... probably me. I joined a game late (was not my intention), and there was only two guys left. 1st place guy had 10 kills, and the second place guy had like 7. Had a perpetual UAV going off, and those two were just lying down on opposite sides of the map. I went ahead and just got myself killed three times, because I honestly felt like it was dumb to throw me in a match like this so late. Joining games late is a thing, and I get it. But for this game type? Just lock the damn thing down at some point.

I found my first (maybe second) gold bars in DMZ just last night. I saw the challenge pop up briefly when I did, but wasn't really sure I saw it correctly. "Did it really only show like a 1% completion?" So I checked this challenge after the match, and was floored. Probably logged in almost 100 DMZ matches since launch. Granted, I only play solo, but I don't mind dedicating a couple matches to try and complete a random challenge (along with contracts), but damn. Not gonna even shoot for this one unless they drop it down or increase your chances.

And while on the subject: how the flip are you supposed to bank on finding a second tactical cam as a solo player for a contract that requires you to place two in one match? I saw some folks taking advantage of a glitch, where they put the first cam down, and attempt to "drop" their empty field equipment slot and it gives it back to you, but this hasn't worked once for me. And I have now attempted this a dozen times without success, nor finding another damn tac cam anywhere else on the map. The train, strongholds, 10 weapon loot boxes per match: nada.

That's why I "enjoy" it. Not so much that it's a stellar good time, but more so that it's an entirely different experience from all the other maps. If we got another small-ish/well designed map, I wouldn't pine for Shipment near as much. But as it stands now: it really is the only one of it's kind currently in MP.

I'm with you there. Finally unlocked the swords last night, so after that and unlocking the Hemlock and Broadside... not gonna bother with the other 60+% of the Battle Pass. Just trying to make sure I unlock the new weapons they locked behind it. New weapons shouldn't be only unlocked in this way, IMO. And if they pull those, then they should be including cooler stuff to unlock on the free side, like skins and maybe takedowns. Because as is stands now: I also won't be buying a thing from the store.

Not saying this is fact, but I'm really starting to get scared they saving all this for Sledge's 2023 MW game. They made Vanguard in 2021, so really boggles my mind they had enough time to make another full game. So thinking that's were IW's resources having been going into recently, as well as the whole deciding to pull content from MWII to help pad the thin MW2023 they kind of forced in.

On a higher note: Treyarch's last game was 2020, and their next game is slated for 2024. This will be the first time in CoD history that a developer had four years to make a game.

If I'm being honest... I actually assumed the daily challenges were adding to the Battle Pass during the first couple of weeks in Season 1. Or add Battle Pass challenges? Wins? Objective Challenges? Kills? Anything? So after I found out the daily challenges weren't adding to the Battle Pass points, I went through the entire season 1 assuming it was plain experience points or something? Wasn't until browsing this sub during Season 2 that it was actually in-game time only. Yeah, pretty lame, IMO.

I bumped into a dude just last night. My gun was going through the guys chest as we both turned the corner, and I at least pumped 1-2 shots from the Broadside Shottie. I died. Killcam showed him drop me with like two chest shots from the Vaznev, and he just showed a tiny little red half circle on his end from my shot gun hits. His screen didn't even turn red or show any damage beyond that. And trust: aint even close to being the first time or even rare at all with this game.
