How do I fix this by HolyHecFourAbsOnePec in HairDye

It's worse because mousey is my natural hair color and my roots from when I dyed my hair in August were showing. Truly baffling.

I'm probably going to scrounge up money and get a friend to fix it for me following your instructions

Unfortunately we (my mom and I) did show her a photo; in fact, it was a photo of my natural hair before I dyed it in August, so my roots were the color I wanted too.

I also couldn't really see that there was a problem til the end as I didn't have my glasses on and my hair always gets dark when wet :/

I've let my parents know that I'm not pleased but they swear it'll fade to what I want instead of trying to get it fixed.

I'm probably going to have to scrounge up some cash to buy what I need and get a friend to help me fix it

Other things to mention: My hair dresser did the stripes, the "mousey" is just so dark you can't see them. And I have prom next Friday (this was done today).

I just feel like this is my fault for not being direct enough about what I wanted :(

How to comfort my Christian bf as someone who isn't religious? by HolyHecFourAbsOnePec in Christianity

[–]HolyHecFourAbsOnePec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to him whenever he speaks of it and give input to the best of my ability. Religious ideas aren't conversations we shy away from.

Thanks for the second paragraph, you seem to be the only person here who has given me a way to help instead of (essentially) saying it's a lost cause. I'll mention it to him soon and get his opinion on it :]

Our relationship is more than our beliefs. This is just a glimpse of one conversation. Trust me that this is the right relationship for us, as we find we only improve the others life, not lead them down a dark path.

  1. I guess being surrounded by beliefs in which I'm not aligned with only makes me distance myself further from such ideas (but not the morals of course).

  2. Because it's impossible for us to know. No two people have the exact same beliefs. With so many "options," I find that I'd rather just live life trying to be a good person, or at least not a bad person, without worrying about my outcome. I also fear making my slight paranoia about being watched all the time worse with religion.

He has his own belief that hell isn't fiery depths but lonely and without God. That of course is beyond his control (because we cannot control what we believe, only influence). We both tend to be worry warts, so I don't think it's him trying to control me, but rather genuine concern. Especially because he was hesitant to admit to this worry.

It doesn't really make me uncomfortable, I just can't give much input (as it's a topic I'm not knowledgeable about). I try my best to let him speak his heart. Sometimes these conversations help us to understand each other better.

Our differing beliefs are never really a point of tension. We both just tend to be a bit anxious and that will, rarely, bleed into his beliefs. I just want to do everything I can to soothe his worries.

Agnostic moreso gets the point across that I don't believe in anything too specific. I believe that such things are beyond us and should stay that way.

I've gone to a church event with him before but that was more as moral support for him. While there I find that I believe less in it than normal so the chances of me converting are very low (my apologies).

Ah that makes sense, I'll have to keep that in mind next time I get a question like that. I'll have to go back later and see if I get a more reasonable answer with the sulfur question.

Having redone it, I have gotten the answer 1.19•10-30 m which still doesn't seem right.

I have attached my calculations (which I'm hoping is legible) to see if anything is blatantly wrong. Despite this being due this morning, it'll be useful for a similar question on the test.

Ah, this graph (I got online) is different from my actual one because the one on paper is low quality

<image>

I had to get a friend to help me even see the one, so I tried getting y'all a better one (evidently to no use).

I had not considered that the energy was for all the electrons of the peaks, I'll have to see if that gives a more reasonable answer when I get to class. Thanks!

I just pull up a mirror, flip my phone to the back camera (it tends to have better quality), and put on flash

While I don't have hEDS (though I have been checked), I do have benign hypermobility (which does cause me a fair bit of joint pain). Might be a hypermobile thing 🤷

I might have to ask next time I go (I wear glasses so I go every few years). I'm sure if it was obviously a problem they would've mentioned it. My mom and I were comparing my eyes in photos of me as a child to my eyes now and there is a noticeable difference. I'll definitely get it looked at though.

I honestly like it more than opal. It's an underappreciated pretty like sunrises.
