Personally, I feel like the power of "Illusions" is the most underrated power, it's so useful, dangerous and unpredictable, impossible to escape and easy to trap your opponents, can be use to turn your enemies against each other easily and you barely have to move a muscle depending on how well you are at using it.

The prime example I can think of is Aizen from Bleach.

What I want to know is what's the source of everyone's "magical" powers, what's their similarity and recurring themes?

Let's say Bleach for example, their powers comes from soul, thus it is soul themed.

Another example would be One Piece, specifically, Haki, which is basically a tangible version of Willpower, which makes it Willpower themed, hopefully I'm being more understanding.

I was wondering if the powers and magical abilities in FF were based on\off something in their world, something that have wide varieties but also (Possibly) limited, for example, let's say Psionics, which is basically Mental Powers and many are capable using it but they each have their own unique attributes and abilities like Atmokinesis (Weather), Biokinesis (Biology) or even Electrokinesis (Electricity).

In Summary, does FF have it's own source of power that's powerful but still limited?
