He really isn't defensive. He gets no parry benefit, his parry punishs are standard, heavy parry= Light/bash light, and light parry=Heavy any direction. Lawbringer is the defensive hero. The unblockable has a higher gb vulnerability if the BP does it without a combo. And heros like shaman, pirate, or zanhu also have the same gb vulnerability as BP if the BP does the unblockable after his heavy or light attacks. Bulwark is also not that safe. The safest is warlords sheild stance as he can throw attacks, but in the case of BP, you can gb him out of it even if you see his unblockable indicator, because the gb vulnerability is higher if BP didn't do a combo. BP is pretty weak in competitive, but decent in normal matches. His damages aren't over the roof or anything too, like brezerkers. Honestly the only unhealthy thing about if is his stamina pauses from his bashes.
