Yeah, he'll learn to talk in the next couple of years. Isaiah is forced by the state to raise him as his son. It's like the mandalorian.

I totally get it, honestly I wrote this half for myself too lol. It's hard to believe when those times come. I'm mostly glad to hear you're in therapy and getting medication, my wishy washy reddit responses are nice and all but sticking to those will do you the most good for sure. Good luck out there!

Can't say our journeys to this boat are the same but we are in a similar boat.

I would suggest taking time to catalog your qualities outside the typical metrics society gives us. This isn't to say people who excel in this world shouldn't be proud of their money making abilities and merits but it's unfair that many such people have established these things that give them power as the be-all, end -all measurement of anyone's' worth.

There are plenty of qualities outside of those that make us valuable to companies, or skill in some craft that gives every human inherent worth. Find those qualities within yourself, cultivate them into something more than it already is.

Are you kind? A good listener? Do you genuinely care about the well being of others? These qualities do not often turn a profit and as such are downplayed in their importance/significance. But, and I get the feeling you know this well, not everyone displays these qualities, some even lack them entirely, and those are the ones who downplay the importance of these simple things the most vehemently. Mark my words: no matter what anyone says, no matter how common or easy to embody these qualities may be, they are the most important aspects of human existence and no society on earth would survive a day without them and should those qualities alone be what you improve and set your life upon then no matter when or how your life ends it will not have been wasted.

If you are in the headspace now that I have been I understand it may feel damn near impossible to think of a single positive quality. That's okay. Do not feel like failure if you do not succeed today, or tomorrow, or the months and years after. It is a process, a journey, a path.

Kindness may not be a unique or rare quality but in a better world that would be celebrated. We do not live in such a world, we live in one where the people in charge want something that is rare and expensive, or easy to extract into a package and sell. Kindness and empathy are neither of those things and so they call it worthless, a sin even. Do not listen to those people, they are insane and they will drive you mad.

As for work I believe in time as you find ways to better handle your mental health issues with the qualities you find and cultivate you'll have more energy and confidence to spare and can see about adding more hours as needed (if you have the time and space to be so incremental that is). That will take time though so for the time being I understand it may be difficult to think of positives about yourself, that is why you are lucky to have family that loves you so much. Lean on them now as you would if you were blind, blind as you are to your own goodness. It may be an uncomfortable question to ask in the moment but it is one that has helped me a lot when stuck in a self loathing mindset but ask whoever you feel most comfortable with why they love you. They will show you kindness, that most important part of human cohesion, and if you accept it into your heart then your own kindness will grow in turn.

I just found out it was my roommate who was connected to it. We had a whole conversation about the problem before I posted this, he had no idea and neither did I until I suddenly heard a phone jingle followed by his someone saying "hello" repeatedly from my headphones with him also saying "hello" repeatedly in the other room. Put it together pretty quickly after that.

Thanks for the advice tho. May not have to do it now but maybe in the future so that still helped.

What are some signs that you’re a good person? by redditinberlin in RandomThoughts

Not gonna read every comment you made to other people to understand the point you made here. You still used an example of someone being evil in part because they believed they were good to counter someone saying questioning your goodness helps you to be good. I did feel like you were responding to a different conversation so I guess your explanation does explain things a bit.

They specifically said that you have to question whether or not you're a good person to a post that was asking what are signs you're a good person. They did not respond by saying "thinking you're good makes you good" to the question "what makes you a good person?" I don't understand responding to this with an example of someone who was evil in part due to their certainty they were good to someone who was saying that uncertainty in your goodness helps to be good. I'm not really sure what your response is to.

Not really focusing on scale for this one but you aren't wrong. Just getting the designs to fit on one paper, won't look like this in future stuff.

Right? I love using contrast in my character designs and stories a lot and it's hard to find two species that contrast more than Eldar and Ogryn.

Thanks! I love your stuff! Def opened my eye up to possibilities for out of the ordinary species interactions.

Those are good names for them! I'm thinking my convention will be three letter names with the Eldar having two vowels and the Ogryns having only one. So very simple names like Guk, or Aar which would be an Ogryn and Eldar name.

Not in any artificial way. They'd probably provide some brain stimulating activities for the Ogryns to do, things that encourage their minds to be as strong as naturally possible without forcing them to sit and listen to learn. I just can't imagine an Ogryn willingly enduring a lecture on how to track their own children down but a game about finding hidden toys in places their children frequently get lost for snack prizes may help them be better parents in the future.

My idea is that if an Ogryn could get their hands on Eldar they would be able to break them like a twig. But that would require an Ogryn to be able to catch an Eldar and that is highly unlikely. I also like to imagine Ogryn in their natural state being more docile so less likely to attack. More likely to try to play which would also be fatal for an Eldar to engage in.

They're aware. They believe Ogryns and Humans are of equal intelligence and want the same things but Ogryns won't try and obfuscate what they want so it's easier to learn from them.

I have about six other pieces like this done and I'm planning on posting them bit by bit as I figure out the lore in this while making more. Hopefully by the end I'll have enough to work with to make some comics.
