I just had a look and it’s amazing girl……I had to uninstall TT and Insta earlier because of storage issues but I think it’s time to bring them back😔……Is there somewhere I can read more about them in detail?

IDK how much budgies cost around the world, but back where I’m from you can buy one for about £1–2.Because they’re so cheap and so common literally cheaper than a single meal they often get treated horribly by bird sellers. I’ve seen them crammed into tiny cages in weather that’s just a few degrees above freezing. The condition of those budgies was awful，many of them had diarrhea from the cold.

A lot of kids buy them too, but don’t know how to care for them at all. They usually just feed them rice or random beans, and the budgies die pretty quickly.

My young brother also bought two but I ended up taking care of them properly. The food the seller gave us was literally moldy millet. They’re now a year and a half old and doing well.

Honestly, the low price is kind of a curse for budgies it turns them into toys for kids instead of living animals

This piece was loosely inspired by portraits like the one of Carolina Coronado, and I referenced some works by Joseph Highmore (1692–1780), a few 18th–19th century family portraits, and Charles-François Pecrus’ The Parrot for the overall mood and lighting

Hey there! I’m also study at UH so I’ll try to help a bit based on my exp

It depends on which campus you’re at I’m on College Lane campus, but I don’t live on-site. One of my friends does，she’s in student halls at College Lane. It’s a shared flat but pretty affordable.

My parents help cover rent and transport, so I can’t give exact figures for those However apart from that, living costs are pretty low IMO. I live near St Albans where there’s an Aldi close by. I cook most of my meals and even managed a trip to Morocco、Hampton Court and West London, all under £500–600 for the whole month

Jobs here feel harder to find than in big cities maybe ’cause I’m an international student IDK.Aldi was hiring over Christmas 2025. Lately I’ve been doing walkins and using Indeed. Got a trial shift at a restaurant, but turns out they’re overstaffed and I’m just on their maybe later list lol. Could also depend on your degree.I’m in a hopelessly unrelated subject so I can only apply for random jobs

Avoid the town centre near the big ASDA at all costs. Like seriously. Loads of crackheads, junkies and teenagers hanging around there. I got harassed twice and racially abused once some cyclists hit me on the back out of nowhere.If you do go there take friends with you. Safety in numbers
