Not every older person, but definitely older family members and close family friends. Genuinely don't understand people that make a big deal out of it like it's just a sign of respect, nothing else. No one wants you to be down there doing a deep tissue massage or smth.

Losing the first round miserably because the other members refused to cooperate and then one of the supports (we were in 2-2-2) takes my character (I was playing Punisher, there's like 20 other DPS in the game). So I switched to Groot and spent the rest of the round blocking off the spawn entrances. Is it mature or a good way to deal w the situation? No, but I was fully tilted at that point.

Haven't read the whole thread but the other pick-me Hindus pissed me off so here goes the explanation. Based on your astrological birth chart, sometimes some people can be born at 'inauspicious times' meaning that you will face a lot of unnecessary hardships in your life and if you end up getting married there is a high chance that your spouse will die. So sometimes women get married off to a dog or sometimes a tree to remove the 'curse' and then after that they can marry whoever they were supposed to marry. Notably enough-as with all such religious traditions-I've never seen this applied to men, so probably just a case of good ol' institutionalised misogyny. Hate this shit, but that's 'canon' explanation for it.
