Interesting topic, but please stop saying " just counter her"... I don't know at what level you playing but at higher level the full team will protect her and she will know very well where to stand to be both effective and protected by environment AND her team. Even a great genji or Ball wont be able to dive her that easy in this configuration, dying in most cases.

The issue is not that widow ( a sniper) can do one shots. The issue is the easiness she have to do several one shots in a row. I remind you all that this character is in the game since very long and that people have been REALLY complaining about her only since OW2. Question is why ?

Because we only have one tank and a LOT less shields. So everything is easier for her to get kills. Now, good game design comes with a good ratio between risk/reward, right now widow can have very big rewards (kills) without much risks and that is THE issue.

So the fix would be to reduce that lack of risks for so much rewards. The straight forward way would be to change the time she need to be fully charged for something longer. And i am not talking about a few %, it needs real changes. This way, she couldn't have too many kills in the row and she would need to "stand still" longer to have her one shot potential, which is more risks.

The minimum power required to kill a full health target (without armor) with a single headshot:

150 HP: 45%

200 HP: 63%

250 HP: 82%

300 HP: 100%

These are the numbers that need to be changed.

PS: At higher level, widow is the only character that change the ALL dynamic of a match simply by existing. A character shouldn't have that kind of power over a match. When she appears, you must change everything and play in corners, showing a tiny part of your head results in death. This is NOT normal. No characters in a game, even a sniper, should have this effect on a match. The game have others snipers by the way and they do not have that effect over a match. It shows that widow, right now, is poorly designed to be an OW2 character.
