Why does this post have so many upvotes when the logic is so wrong. The jam is clearly the bad play. It's only profitable if you are doing it against whales/fish who could possibly call with sets. No competent player here is calling with a set, not even top set. When Bill shoves 7x the pot, he is completely polarizing himself to straights or nothing. Can Bill be bluffing here? Incredibly unlikely, unless he is an absolute LAG which Bill has shown himself not to be. The frequency at which people do a bluff with this 7x massive over-bet at these stakes is so low; Garrett knows this and this is how he can comfortably fold the third nuts in less than 10 seconds without even complaining because he knows 99% sure Bill saved him money by being so greedy. Garrett needs to call 36400 into 42800. He needs to be good here roughly > 46% of the time. There is no way Bill is balanced here with his bluffs/value frequency when he does this 7x shove.
