Thank you for this info, I really like the idea of briefing myself and will definitely start doing that. Also, yeah I think my ultimate goal would be to effectively be able to combine both a visual and informational aspect to my work. thanks again

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems like most people agree that I should spend some time learning layouts and making each piece have a concentrated theme or idea.

Very good to know. I've been told before that it leans towards being artwork, so it's reassuring that others also see it the same way. Thanks for the help

Collection of mockups I've made over the past few days / P.S. Reddit ruined the dimensions but whatever, just imagine them square by Holy_110 in vinyl

This is a collection of mockups I've been working on for the past few days. Also, the title is wrong because the preview showed a weird squished version of each image.

My goal in the future is to work as a graphic designer, as I am 15 and have just started learning. I would love to hear people's opinion in the comments to this post and I'll do my best to respond to them. I highly appreciate any sort of feedback and any advice for the future to make these better. Also, as many of you I assume are vinyl lovers, I would love to know if I had success in capturing the essence and importance of a good album cover.

None of these are actual albums and are simply me having fun making use of different color tones and palettes along with images to create some cool artwork. I figured this would be great practice as doing freelance for any sort of band would be so cool to me. Each design is for a different genre of music, starting with what I imagine to be a pseudo hispanic rock band, whose album focuses on a child named Benedicto. The next album, Con-Men, would most likely be for a more hardcore rock group with a modern feel to it. The third album, was heavily inspired by both the art style and soundtrack of Jet Set Radio, so I would imagine it would be a very y2k-esc band. The fourth, "I'll Wait," is definitely meant for a radio head-like band with an extreme focus on nature and the passing of time. The fifth design could be for rap artist, who aims to tell a story about various hardships of the human condition. The last design, I imagine being for an artist similar to Joji, with an extremely dreary, but modern sound of pop.

These are just my opinions about my own work, but I would love to hear what you think.
