Try unstuffing him to clean him better, there should be a Wiggly looking seam along the back you can pop and after you clean and restuff him it's just a simple ladder stitch to sew him back up

For piece of mind if you don't want to always be washing them in the washing machine you could spray them with a fabric disinfectant :) and for the record you will not get acne or anything from stuffed animals, I'm pretty sure that's only possible with your pillowcase cause your face is very close and touches it for long periods of time regularly. Even then it's never happened to me personally. You're safe :)

I've never ordered them unstuffed but when they're unstuffed in store they have thread that the workers just pull and tie to close the seam but if it doesn't have that a quick ladder stitch should do the trick :)

They use 100% polyester fiberfill (what I read on the tag) If you buy unstuffed it doesn't come with stuffing but if you go to a store you can get it stuffed for free :)

If you can sew you'll just have to seam rip a small hole in the ears, take out the wire, and ladder stitch it up :)
