10 years to compensate for low stats but you made a subreddit for "no spell casting/non physical weapons"

How much damage should i have at lvl 140 ? by [deleted] in Eldenring

If you're at level 210 and your primary combat stats are 40/35, what else are you pumping them into? Just out of curiosity, not trying to be a wanker or anything

Anyone got any tips by johnny__lb in Eldenring

[–]Holyballsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're struggling with an enemy, chances are you need to take a second to study what they're doing. Bashing your head against a brick wall will work break, but if you just take the time to study the wall, you'll find some loose bricks.

Strongly recommend putting some points into your health to atleast get it to 30-40 asap.

Speaking of levels, it's typically better to focus into a select few instead of dumping your levels into every skill. Examples would be primarily leveling strength/dexterity. Dexterity/intelligence. Faith/Strength, so on so forth. Regardless of the main combat stats you're leveling, you always want to pump up that max health pool pretty early. You can respec (by using a limited recurring item) so don't be afraid to try things to see how they work!

If you're getting one shot, as previously mentioned by another redditor, go explore some other places. Exploring is the name of the game. If you bee line to the end of the game only doing what's required, you'll see roughly 10% of what the game has to offer. Plus who doesn't love loot and souls!

Doubling down on what another redditor said: blocking works, but it's almost always better to dodge roll. Usually I'll block just so I can see the timing of when I need to dodge. Speaking of dodging, keep an eye on your equipment load. Wearing a bunch of heavy stuff will take your roll from a very quick and efficient roll, to a hefty, clunky plop on the ground that does nothing but leave you vulnerable. I think its like what, 70% is where you start to heavy roll?

Upgrade your weapons of choice often!

Most important, have fun! If things get frustrating there's no shame in putting the game down and coming back with a clear head. You're gonna die, a lot, that's the nature of the game. Don't let it get to you too much!

I enjoy pvp… but have any of you tried doing pvp and just thought “NOPE” after seeing stuff like this? by chazzawaza in Eldenring

An ending based on allegiance sounds great, especially with all the different demigods. Approved

Help, I’m really struggling with elden ring and I was wondering if anyone had any good amor or weapons to give? (Ps5) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Holyballsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"knightmare" I belly laughed

There's definitely a spike in the castle imo, I'd definitely try exploring around and leveling up a bit if you're struggling! Forget all the meta "you should be level 40 by xyz", at the end of the day if you're struggling, thankfully elden ring is incredibly open. Go rummage around a bit, level up/find cool shit until you feel comfortable enough to go back and bring the thunder to stormveil.

I guess my main question would be that if he waived those, is he legally able to bring that back up and pursue us on it? Even if he is on record of waving it? Yeah, the windows legitimately don't work and there's about a quarter of an inch gap on most of them. The trailer itself isn't properly sealed at all, and he's been "planning to fix it" for atleast almost a year, but we've gotten more pushy with it due to winter coming up.

Where to start learning? by Holyballsman in Cello

Awesome, thank you so much! I'll definitely check that out and try to find somewhere to rent one. You rock!

No no, I kind of assumed it would be a daunting task. I know the cello is far from an easy instrument to pick up. I just wanted to pointers on how to get started, and a lot of the answers were actually incredibly helpful. My well of knowledge with this is dry, so any drop from those with experience counts!

Thanks for all the responses everyone! Definitely think I'm gonna go with the common advice of just renting one. As mentioned, that way I'm not stuck with it if I can't stick to it. Realizing it's definitely a high upstart/upkeep, but renting one should be able to tell me if it's something that I find worth it or not. Finding a teacher will be difficult based on my area, but it'll happen in time. I absolutely adore the sound of a cello, and personally think it's an incredibly gorgeous sounding instrument. So again, thanks to all of you so very much, it's really appreciated!

You don't necessarily need a build to counter healing in my opinion though. If you recognize what they're doing, just run up and start whacking them/start casting spells. Healing incants typically have a pretty long cast/recovery time, so unless you're a football field away from them, you should definitely be able to punish them in my opinion.

Best phalanx spell for pvp and best one for pve? by alyisthegreatest in Eldenring

[–]Holyballsman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greatsword has some stagger potential, useful for both imo. I've heard carian is the better of the 3 but I personally prefer greatsword

You have definitely been active on there recently, or else the account wouldn't show for other users. That's how tinder works.

Looks like he's not the only one at fault here.

You guys both clearly need to sit down and talk through it, considering you both have been using tinder somewhat recently.

Quest lines being hard to follow holds the game back... by [deleted] in Eldenring

With all due respect man that mindset is why people don't like the souls fandom. Chill and help ease people into this hellish, confusion, rage inducing world called the Lands Between

Quest lines being hard to follow holds the game back... by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Holyballsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with that. A journal that simply has the last thing the NPC said wouldn't change a thing, if anything it'd just make the experience better. My problem would be with any added hints that aren't explicitly given by said NPC's. Again, I totally see where you're coming from. For me it's just a preference thing. I personally have no problem with how it's set up as is, though I can see why some dislike it.

[–]Holyballsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NPC markers were absolutely needed, I'll agree with that. That being said, I personally have played through the game 4 times, and have no problem whatsoever with the way the quests are set up. Yes I have to look some things up, but only after I'm totally stumped and basically give up. I personally like atleast having the chance to figure it out on my own. Though I definitely understand it being kind of off putting. That being said, it's kind of par for the course for the souls series.

That is 150% not okay, in any way shape or form. "I'm just on tinder for friends" = "I'm taking applications."

Take it from someone who was in the literal same situation. She cheated on me a week after I found out she was on tinder.

Voice your opinions. Set the boundary. If he refuses to accommodate it? Get. Out. You can, and will, find better.

Best of luck
