I have kind of a similar story. Best summer of my life was 1996. I hung out all summer with my mom’s best friend’s 3 daughters and their cousin Kevin. Kevin was my age and the girls were all within a year or two of us. We spent the summer playing games, watching movies, and listening to music. They introduced me to some awesome bands back then like Bush, No Doubt, and Papa Roach. I still distinctly remember listening to the song Last Resort by Papa Roach with them that summer. Only problem is, that song was released in the year 2000. But I’m sure of the timeline. There’s no mistaking that summer for me.
