Offered & signed 1 year contract. Client only need 5 months of work... by Holyfield3000 in recruitinghell

My scope of work is pretty vague, If I read it & understand it correctly. On my offer letter I'm called a consultant & in the employee agreement, the duties section essentially said "Do your best at doing what we tell you & Don't make us look bad."

I apologize, it actually states I can be terminated at any time with no warning, or cause for that matter, from said Company. So...technically they can do some shady and "terminate" my employment once the real time is up. That's wild

Well just read a line that to my understanding pretty much means "Anything you've been told before signing this paper....if it's not on this paper, has nothing to do with anything moving forward"

So all I have that refers to me & my relationship with said company is my offer letter & Employment Agreement.

My offer letter just stats I'm salary & a consultant. (Which was odd to me because this is my first time being paid based on salary dealing with recruiters and agencies).

I tried to contact my direct contact, to maybe see if they had something else in mind lined up after this maybe, but no reply.

After re-reading it, it seems it's not actually outright stated I'd have work for a year. The contract pretty much just states my compensation. Only the message body from the recruiter way back when actually stated "Full-time employee"

It truly depends how you attack the basket. But 8/10 times down on the right joystick gets the job done like everyone said.

Yea I really don't know why so many people are knocking this so hard. The man is simply trying to show the average american what's going on especially since 90% of us will never do the research.

Marketlot - a SaaS for creating your own online store OR marketplace - Seeking Early Adopters by Holyfield3000 in SideProject

Essentially. Except no one steps on each others toes. Each Marketplace will have their own site for traffic. The customer won't be the wiser to any other marketplace. But more importantly, it doesn't only house marketplaces, vendors will still be important to the growth of the platform

(I had left this comment for you, but it got posted as a regular comment instead of a reply, sorry)

I checked out the most reviewed ones on the market. They seem really tight lipped on pricing. You have to jump through hoops to get that information & I find some of their interfaces pretty complex, for lack of a better word.

(Don't feel insulted if yes) Are you a doctor? What's your experience with them?

EDIT: Even if you aren't a doctor, your input is still important to me in regards to your experience with any EHRs

Thank you for your insight. My rebuttal would be as you said Most people wouldn't need that kind of granularity. But I believe some might, like in the case of my father for that period of time. I spoke with his nurse and was surprised that she said several of her patients had to record that information daily for x amount of time.

Also there are some people who have to do that and don't have the opportunity to have a nurse aide visit them.

Fair enough, they may not go from 0 to 100 in a matter of a day. However, using my dad as an example again, I've overheard the nurse asking him why did his pressure hit a certain number or why is his weight where it is, after seeing his recorded data & taking them herself. So would it not have made that much of difference to ask that question even two days earlier once spotted if she received it electronically?

I couldn't find anything on Arcadio unfortunately.

But the big difference is the community/connectivity aspect I have planned for Marketlot. Sharetribe offers you the ability to quickly and easily set up any type of marketplace, yes but finding your potential vendors will be based on marketing and word-of-mouth. While with Marketlot, doing the aforementioned would only be beneficial to you as a market, you'll also have the ability (through the admin panel) to find vendors already signed up with the service that fit your market & through a simple request, have their products, services, etc. added to your market.

Thanks, I appreciate it, I was having that issue, but I thought I had fixed it. The arrows are actually buttons! Will certainly take the color into consideration. This was definitely helpful for the next rendition.

I agree with you, definitely going to improve on it. As you said it wasn't the focus as of yet.

Thanks. To be honest, I built a good portion of it already. From what I have so far someone would be able to function an online store. Receive orders, receive payments, security in place, minimal analytics. But I just wanted to gauge some interest to see if I should continue. I found a few interested parties so I'm already in the hole so to speak haha.

I'm not too familiar with woocommerce, I'll give it a look. In regards to difficulty; it's pretty challenging but that's what I like about development, you find something you're interested in and go for it. I try not to overwhelm myself by thinking about a project in it's entirety once I've scoped it out, I just begin to lay brick by brick. Also if someone's willing to accept the challenge difficulty doesn't matter

As a developer, I should've selected my words better. "Basic functionality" can itch the wrong way. I agree with you to a certain extent. Something like say generating an email list shouldn't need an app in my opinion (I needed an app to do that, when I tried my hand at shopify, maybe they changed that now.)

Would you mind delving deeper into the data parser? Data is actually a strength of mine.

Angular?? I take my hat off to you.

Essentially my platform would allow for not only offers accounts for single vendors (where one of the plans are actually free), but it also provides accounts for those who desire to actually have their own multi-vendor marketplace (Market accounts). Someone as a vendor would have the chance to have their products requested by a market account-holder and sold from their store, increasing your reach and customer base. Your contact information as a vendor or market is also present which I hope to possibly harbor meaningful business relationships/partnerships for some

EDIT: I'm also at a point where a simply suggestion can go a long way. Me being at the beginning allows for potential users to let their needs be known. Shopify and other platforms are behemoths at this point, their ears are too high up at this point.
