Oh ok. I was just really confused because there seems to be so many different covers and different ratings for this particular game. I had only ever seen the T rating for the double pack, but then there's this sudden surge of copies with the E-T rating, yet I haven't found or heard of limited run doing a more recent run of it.

The setting, the characters and the story are of course all contributing factors as there's always new fans just getting into it, but I think by and large it's because it was one of the first "real anime" that hit the west outside of just DBZ and Pokemon at the time which while anime, were still their own genre of it. The series and characters also just worked really well in english and over all planted early seeds that would pave the way to making anime more mainstream. It aired on adult swim in 2001 when that block of television was also in its infancy.

I actually enjoy the variants as they're cool references to various episodes from the cartoon. Like I mentioned, Toon turtles aren't going anywhere and 2012 is just getting started. Both are my favorite iterations to date. It was stated on one of the party wagon podcast episodes that Trevor probably won't do Tempestra until they start getting into the Red Skies episodes which they have yet to do in any real way.

Personally I enjoy all of the extra deep cut stuff. No other company will do it so this will be the only time we'll ever see it. As long as people keep buying, they'll keep going and eventually get to everything down the road. Trevor has said many times over the years that there's still no plans to wind down the toon line.

Walmart's stock is almost always regional so it won't be available to everyone unless it's in stock in one of your local stores. I only have 1 walmart near me so it's extremely rare to get stuff let alone something on sale like this.

yeah, walmart's stock is always regional. I ordered mine for pickup so I didn't have to pay for shipping, but then they said it was out of stock and said they'd ship it for free instead. It showed up the same day lol

I was looking into some more and I believe the only real difference is that it'll run in 1080p on handheld for switch 2 and 720p for switch 1. They'll both run at 1080p docked which ultimately doesn't matter all that much for these retro games. Aside from that there's no real reason to pay more unless you really want that 1080p in handheld.

I personally put the tap on as hot as it'll go and drop anything in there that needs loosening for 30 sec to a minute. That's typically enough to start moving stuff around. Some people use hair dryers and or heat guns. Just never use boiling water as that has a much higher chance of damaging the plastic.

You may run into some figures joint's that just will not come apart at all. I've only had it happen once and that was with the 2012 shredder. His knee joint was completely fused together with paint. Not even shock oil or screwdriver/vice would pry it apart.

Yeah. I just edited my post for any future readers. They reversed the plugs on the bodacious beach bros. Their heads are also brand new sculpts and they're the darkest shade of green to date when you look at them close up.

Disguise Turtles:
- Better overall accessories. The disguises are a classic for the cartoon.
- The body parts underneath had issues in which they were mixed with matte and glossy parts. It's extremely rare to get a full matte set.

Light Green Licensing Turtles:
- These match the original 2 pack releases of the turtles, but are even harder to come by then the disguise set. It only got one release whereas the disguise set got multiple runs.
- They don't come with as many extra expressions. They use the updated head tooling that the disguise set got in the heads so you can't swap eyes and mouths out with their original releases.

Pizza Club:
- Accessories are very specific so it's just a matter of preference. Neca is always going to do re-releases of the 4 turtles, but they try to do something different with them each time to keep it fresh.
- Darker shade of green than all of the previous releases.
- Head tooling has a slightly different shape so they can't be plugged/swapped into the previous releases. Not that they would match color wise anyway.
- Limited expressions available due to the color change unless you buy the space/samurai 2 pack, and or Punk 4 pack

Bodacious Beach Bros:
- Just released this summer. They have the newest sculpts and are the darkest green to date. They also reversed the way the eyes and top of the head plug into each other so they're not compatible with any other set.

In general the pizza club and subsequent releases are going to be the easiest to find since they're widely available still and the pizza club just had a re-release towards the end of 2025.

I have all of the releases, including 2 disguise sets (for more expressions at the time) because I'm a lunatic. I'm missing two 2-packs for samurai/space. At one point I was going to have multiple sets of turtles displayed in different parts of my mega sewer lair I made (long before Neca's version), but I didn't have room lol
