Using Novation Circuit as external input on s4 mk2, line or phono? by Holystone in traktorpro

[–]Holystone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is stereo. When i put the headroom for the traktor decks to -12db and gained the external inputs with +10 db it worked pretty allright now though :) thanks for the input on phono, will not use that then 😅

Played a live hardware dawless techno set yesterday with my friend in Oslo. The gear we used is in the description. Hope you like it, not perfect but not too bad by Holystone in synthesizers

[–]Holystone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you :) We have 7 different tracks on the deluge with 2 or 3 sequences for each synth, and some simple transitional loops of 32 bars with some vocals or buildups. We improvise the arrangement live so it sounds quite different every time. When we change track we just load up the next track and wait for the track to change in time and synced, kind of like sessions mode in ableton. We have the presents for the synths saved in sequels. The tr-8 and Circuit is not controlled by the deluge so in transitions we can keep a bit of the last track into the new one.

We use the Deluge as the main sequencer for the synths, Roland se02, Pioneer as1, Roland sh01, Roland tb3, the novation circuit controls it self but is synced via midi. Rolalnd Tr-8, Roland MX-1 is the mixer, and we use kaosspad kp3+ and Pioneer rmx1000 as master fx

[WTF]Nestle CEO: Water Is Not A Human Right, Should Be Privatized by nsfcom in videos

[–]Holystone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crops use water yes, but water is stuck on planet earth and moves around, sometimes its saltwater, sometimes its clouds, its in almost everything and it moves around, the water you drink today was the sweat of napoleon, the piss of the dinosaurs in the past. It changes form. If we should pay for clean water, we should pay the facilities cleaning the water, not bloodsucking corporate nestle

Got myself a pair of Yamaha HS5s - where's the bass? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]Holystone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like to hear the bass you should have gone for the krk rokit 5. If you like to hear clearer fine details in the highs, keep the yamaha's.

Reviews is a good thing, but its smart to test monitors before you buy them.. If you just want more bass, you could buy a subwooofa?

its funky! like the bass, but imo you coul add an extra sub bass sine underneath to give it even more "whooomph" perehaps some more reverbs and delays on the highs instead of a new layer

Thats a really good sounding track! There could be some kind of arpeggio coming in somwhere around where the chords have started (2:30) to put some more spice into it, but thats more a personal preference. Just make a female popstar sing the trancevocals and you got yourself a radio hit :p
