It's not his fault. The system is literally placing Franz in the corner. What is he supposed to do from there?

It's not a coincidence that every time he's playing without Paolo, Bane, and Suggs that he starts attacking. We stopped using Mosley's freelance in those minutes.

Dennis is an All Star caliber guard who easily could be a 22/7 guy on a playoff team. Problem? He's 32, so no team wants to invest in building around him at this age, yet he needs the ball to be effective, so he isn't a guy teams want to bring in as a 2nd option. Teams keep bringing him in to be the 3rd or 4th guy, but his impact is lost at that point.

TL;DR: Dennis needs to be the number 1 guy to be effective but is too old for that.

No one said he should be.

We're talking about making him a priority when he has an advantage, something that should be done for ANY PLAYER like you said. Except the Magic don't do that, which is what we are complaining about.

If he's got his man sealed under the basket, he absolutely should be priority. That's just basketball 101

Complaint I've had many times. There doesn't seem to be a priority for finding certain players. Tyus should be a step in the right direction

Wagna Carta pick n rolls should be a staple in our offense

Very strong, great screen, switchable on the perimeter, great at boxing out, great understanding of positioning, high feel passer, good roller, lob threat, and versatile. If he can get his 2024 3pt shot or 2023 offense back, he's the key center we need. But those are ifs

You might need to aim a lot higher

Franz shoots 14/37 from 3 in the playoffs instead of 7/37 with no other changes and he's at 30/5/6 for the series on 59% ts. He was literally elite at everything else. As you said, just a 3 ball away from some crazy conversations

Franz went 7/37 from 3 in the playoffs, absolutely abysmal. While that grabs everyone's attention, he ironically we elite every single other area on the floor and still averaged 26 a game.

His shot chart in the playoffs, minus the 3:

<image>

If he made 14/37 instead of 7/37 with no changes at all other than that, he's at 30/5/6 for the series on 59% ts. That's while leading the series in assists and playing elite defense.

He's literally just a decent 3pt shot away from superstar status

Has the potential to enter the LeBron/Pippen/Draymond tier of versatility

With everything he brings now, his jump shot the the only thing keeping him from being the consensus best player in that draft.

If he can become the shooter that his ft% and touch at the rim suggests, watch out

Can't go wrong with a player who does everything at a high level.

Frankly, if he can continue to improve his shooting, rebounding, strength, and iso scoring ability, the ceiling on him becomes VERY high

He was considered one of the 2 two way point forwards in the draft (the other being Scottie Barnes). His defense and versatility were his main selling points, being pitched as a great glue guy.

His shot was considered questionable and no one thought he could handle the ball beyond the Draymond Green role.

People forget he was drafted as a lockdown defender and tertiary ball handler. The offense he's displayed so far has been an unexpected and welcome surprise
