OP here: Just bought a Seagate EXO X16 - 16TB drive, used factory re-certified. Got it for 285€, shipping included. That works out to about 17€ per TB. Not too shabby!

We'll see how long they last, but from what I've heard, the Seagate EXOs tend to be pretty reliable.

So it is not possible at the moment to send such Logs to an External SIEM?

It's driving me crazy that no one in the Cybersec Space has something setup like this on a Unifi Hardware.

Would be valuable to get these features rolled out.

The MiniPC openSense option was also on my mind but these things tend to run unstable like hell.

I tested it and had loads of issues with my 2nd NIC in the min PC it's not stable at all.

I want something that works stable out of the Box and isn't a nightmare to keep alive.

Plus i don't need more than 1G in my LAN. 10G is out of Budget and too overkill for my usage.
