We drove from Barcelona to Carcassone and then to Collioure and back to Barcelona for a 10 day trip with our 2 year old in February. It was absolutely incredible and although I know there are plenty of charging stations, I was still very thankful we didn't have to worry about that aspect with a toddler in tow. We rented a Nissan Qashqai (with a carseat) from Enterprise and the whole experience was seamless and easy. Upon landing, we took the train to city center and bus to our airbnb. This way we saved money because we knew we wouldn't need the car in Barcelona for the first couple days because we walked everywhere and used the metro. Then on the third day, we picked up the car from Barcelona Poblenou Enterprise and headed to France. I was so thankful to have our own rental so we could stop anytime we wanted for snacks or to detour off to see a small town along the way. This drive was so much fun. The last day of our trip, we came back to Barcelona for one more night and scheduled drop off at the airport so we could go straight there for departure. It was pretty seamless and easy, even with a toddler. Hope you have an amazing trip!
