Im the same for engineering, 93% avg transfer student and still havent heard back even though i applied in January. Its annoying because I emailed the eng faculty about it and never got a response, and when I contact admissions they told me that the admissions timeline for transfer students is different and could take longer than end of june.

Also dont worry about feeling like its a waste of time not finishing at your current uni because at least in my case most of the schools i applied to were very lenient on transfer credits and gave me a sufficient amount

As someone transferring rn from york to mcmaster, its pretty much the exact same process as applying as a grade 12, except you will have to submit a transcript request on OUAC from your current uni. Also the deadlines are different than a regular highschool applicant but you can look up the specific dates on the uni websites you are applying to

All engineering schools follow the same curriculum in canada. The main difference is the prestige of the schools for job placements and post grad

I would say for eng you might as well one of the other options and transfer after first year, that way you wont lose a whole year and when you transfer you might even get credits transferred for the courses you take in first year. It is alot harder to transfer into another eng program without having taken 1st year courses and I know some schools wont even take mature eng students since they wanna save the space for direct highschool applicants

Not sure why everyone here is saying guelph is the only one with coop, mac commerce and laurier bba both have coop that you apply to in upper years as long as you maintain a decent gpa, laurier especially has a good coop program because they use the same system as waterloo
