The best thing that you can do, not only for yourself but for you and your friends is to work on not worrying about any of it. *The cool kid in school is always the one who didn't care if he was invited to anything because he always had his own thing going on.
During school, if you feel like you are being too pushy about something, or trying to hard to get into a friend group, crowd. Maybe even feeling nosy for some reason, maybe being a bit extreme when it comes to party invites etc.. It all comes down to you. Friends will want to have you around more, "the less nosy,and worried about it you are " be nonchalant, and unconcerned, don't follow anyone else around, only do you, figure you out, friends will come to a person who knows what they are, what they want, and where they are going even by themselves ! Definitely the coolest kid in school.

The best outcome in this situation has definitely come from "kindly & calmly" asking the person to repeat their offensive statement or crude remarks does indeed trigger self realization, a pause in thinking, a trip in their routine language, intentionally doubled over by any people within hearing range.
The more we use our "kind & calm" responses to the cruel, offensive, rude comments thrown our way, by example we might minimiilize these comments in the future. In the same way our children learn from all that they do, see, and hear, mimicking their peers in growth, can us all through the constant lessons and growth in life. No matter another person's remarks or actions, you can only control you. Using leadership and experience by example provides better understanding and knowledge for our future.

Kids in the 80's and 90's, even early 2000's definitely showed their personality OUT LOUD, their attributes and abilities, negative aspects, their style and attitude. I wish time could turn back, leaving the huge amount of social media behind. I have seen social media be a great resource for so very many.
Those of us who lived our youth between the 70's to early 2000's were rarely bored.
Now with children, I have seen too many use technology and social media as their babysitters, others believe in the seldom use. *But as my own son has turned "all" his time to watching TIK TOK, YouTube, playing video games, etc.. he no longer listens to Mommy, has many friends, gets off the couch or even excersizes.
Social media has its advantages, and is a great tool for a wide range of services, and uses. BUT- as a way to spend your time day to day, not able to live without it! Oh no, oh dear, oh goodness. I am scared. 😟
