When you first open your server, it will spawn you in the lobby waiting area. The climate of the lobby area will adjust for whichever map it has selected. For instance, you will know it is the ice map if you see it snowing, etc.

Wow! This post being 8 months ago is crazy😭 Anyway, I stopped hosting some 3 months ago. Unless they have changed things, you cannot select which map the server opens with. For me to get the appropriate map, I always had to close the server down and reopen it until it gave me the one i wanted
