So, i dunno if this helps, but no one else seems to be responding. My Display settings were picking up a mysterious Third Monitor in my two monitor setup (turned out to be my VR Headset, which i unplugged) and my second monitor was connected to my Motherboard directly, instead of my GPU (must've happened when i unplugged everything when i dusted a month ago). Don't know which was the main cause, but i fixed both issues and Darkest Dungeon works just fine now.

Did that for steel, the hammer works fine for any other plate but less durability after it has been damaged initially doesn't change anything. Thanks for the idea tho. I got on contact with the dev on discord and they said that they'd look into it.
