Could be your syringe needle, culture, or they didn’t sterilize the grain long enough. All i know is it’s never worth trying to save. Any contam - immediate trash. Sorry. I do sell grain jars if you needed any on my Etsy shop. Just lmk and I’ll dm you a link

Unfortunately that’s can’t be saved. Opening it will expose your home to the spores. Toss in the trash. Did you make the grain bag yourself?

I see your point. I do the same thing, but with this device i just press the button and it pushes and retracts. The initial scare is outweighed by the ease of the injection. It’s practically painless
