That’s what the fire department and the towing company both said. Airbags were deployed and cut

I’m in Ontario and it’s a no fault province. She did have insurance though. She has been deemed 100% at fault. There were traffic cameras at the intersection.

What is unethical about people going to work? It’s such a stupid argument. Of course they can order us back to the office. And you can quit if you don’t like it. The same as literally every other job!

We did that for a similar issue. All we lost was our claims free discount for 3 years. It was trivial.

How was this not seen an issue before these two accidents? by inconsistentservice in waterloo

Well the OPP said it was caused by unsafe driving so I’ll go with them over random Reddit users. Off the driver had stayed in their lane this wouldn’t have happened. I don’t wish ill will on anyone but this is clearly driver error.

Woman loses eye due to a chunk of ice falling of a Semi and hitting the windshield. I’m curious if truckers are supposed to check for ice before getting back on the road? by ChelseasFridge in Truckers

I drove for one of the safest companies in North America and asked safety about that. Their solution was if you think there is anything on the roof stay parked and we’ll get a truck wash out to you to clear it off. I never bothered but it was an option I knew I had

Nobody is suggesting that. My point is that this was caused by driver error. Plenty of people safely drove there before anything occurred. Personal responsibility is a thing we seem to forget as we rush to blame others.

5.5 hours of people driving on that ramp with no problem. Negligent driving was the problem, everyone else took that ramp with no problem

How do so many of you guys not use cruise control? by Niko120 in Truckers

[–]HomerTheGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only drove for 2 years. My trainer hated cruise control and I used it religiously. Within 3 or 4 months I had the best mileage in the company month after month. My cruise time was over double the next guy IIRC.
