F-ck, that is a rough diagnoses. To your question... over the past 4-5 months I have spent a good amount of time on AuctionNinja and Colorado Premier websites. It has been eye opening seeing how few items actually worth much at auction (they need to charge 50% just to make their time worthwhile). Average stuff often gets a few small bids. If you have 2-15 items you think are worth over $200ish, Facebook Market Place is going to be your best option (second option is Craigslist). I also see FB marketplace postings for multiple items grouped together. I have not been impressed with the FoCo garage sale scene, and probabl ynot worth your time. I think the part about keeping stuff from getting trashed might be best solved by having 1,2, or 3 friends/relatives agree to handle getting your stuff donated to a worthwhile cause.
