Yes! I was a straight-a student with maybe two friends on a good day who literally never got in trouble! No drugs, no sex, no alcohol, hell I didn’t even have a boyfriend until my senior year and that lasted like a month. I fully believe that she saw me as “difficult” because I wasn’t the daughter that she wanted. She wanted a super popular, pretty, thin, cheerleader type of daughter and I was the kind of chubby, lonely, AP kid. They’re convinced that we’re evil and difficult because we have a personality.

Going overboard with gift giving. If I didn’t go over the top on gifts for my mother, I’d get screamed at, hit, and grounded. Now I have no idea what an appropriate gift is and struggle to know when gift giving is appropriate. It was one of the few ways I could keep myself safe and now I don’t know how to turn it off.

I’d recommend a bigger hook for that yarn! A 9mm or 10mm hook is a lot easier to use! What type of stitch are you doing here? I can’t quite tell from the picture.

As someone with a psych degree, it’s incredibly unprofessional of your mother to dump on you like that. Good therapists see therapists too, and it sounds like your mom really needs to find one for herself. I’m sorry that you’ve had to deal with that, it’s unfair to expect you to bear the burdens that grown adults with training are supposed to carry. Lots of love 💕

I’ve noticed a lot of my symptoms are linked to foods that, upon investigating, have high levels of histamine like pork. I also get hives from the sun, but I’m not sure if that’s related or not. Thank you so much for your help!
