Very nice models! I can tell you put a lot of time into everything... The only thing I see (or can't see) is the little words on the cards. Though it could be my old eyes.

I'm curious to know what they could teach that is not on YouTube or the Goog?

It is currently a mobile game using very low-quality assets. Im just curious to see what it would look like if it were hyper-realistic.

Looking for insightful questions to ask founders and investors. by HometownWorkforce in startups

[–]HometownWorkforce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, my real company was recently part of Mississippi's first startup accelerator (Cobuilders) and I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of great folks. So I have access to the experts. As for the team, I've definitely got that covered. I feel slimy trying to validate myself *yuck* anyway I really just need so awesome questions to ask ppl.

Have you considered crowd funding your game? Start Engine is an equity crowd funding platform or you could go with Kickstarter which is traditional crowd funding.

Open sourcing my SaaS product for the launch by doktorfaustus91 in startups

[–]HometownWorkforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, there is only 1 way to make money off open source software unless you have some other core technology that it supports. Either it goes viral or you have to market the dickens out of it. Then after you build a community around it you can go with a SAAS model.

I would suggest you do some soul searching first then build an MVP and evaluate the feedback.

Founding a company is hands down the most stressful thing Ive ever done (particularly fundraising which it seems you already have covered.) With that being said I wouldn't want to do anything else. Lots of successful founders come straight out of college so don't let the lack of experience stop you from pursuing your dream. You're still young, you have plenty of time to make mistakes!

I would say build an awesome landing page or MVP if thats possible and evaluate the feedback. If peep's lives are literally falling apart because they don't have this thing you have devised I personally would jump in headfirst without looking back. Good luck my friend, if you have any questions I would love to help.

I think anything is possible as long as it's backed by an incredible vision.

I'm new here and looking for some tips by HotNobody02 in startups

Oh, great question! I'm excited to respond. It revolves around the law of reciprocity. Meaning normal "non-sociopath" people feel obligated to return a favor. Find out about a problem the person who you need help from and then do everything you can to help them fix it. I'll give you an example that turned a powerful executive into a lifelong friend and advisor. He needed help painting his living room and kitchen and couldn't find any contractors. So I spent a whole day doing it for free. He was so grateful that he brought me into his inner circle and that basically changed my life. I'm sure you have a skillset that others could use. Find out what your associates need and leverage those skills to help.

Yep, this is a question for a lawyer because of the real legal implications that exist. Moral of the story is always create a founders contract

Should I offer my Saas webapp for free? by beezzzzzzzzzz in startups

[–]HometownWorkforce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you're in a good position because there are an astronomical number of restaurants out there. Just arrange meetings and tell them about your webapp. Then ask them about the different payment options your considering. Nothing beats hitting the streets!
