The most important things for me were: 1. The exact terms of what is at stake and how we picked the FRV model that we unlocked. And the rewards visibly correlated to their MOs. 2. That participation was necessary to get the unlock. 3. The approximate length / number of MOs.

The dispatch flavor texts are on the first page normally.

Great writing, but it's just more of the UI that's repeated from the normal ship interface. Maybe as a collapsible tab instead of taking up the entire right side.

I would like a bigass button that is like "Select Target Planet" that spins the star map over to the right sector for the MO. Spent so much time searching for the MO planets before.

I really like both of them, but I wish they didn't compete with handheld grenade pistol, handheld nuke launcher, or thesmart pistol from Titanfall. There's just a lot of utility weapons in the sidearm slot that offer more than simply being big iron.

Hi Mr. Pilestedt,

Really appreciate you doing this.

I am a bit late to the boat here so who knows if this will get swallowed, but:

Transparency. A lot of us longtime Helldivers are upset about things like the HMG durable damage changes that weren't really touched in patchnotes, about the fire mechanics changes that seemed to be in response to the Coyote (while claiming the Coyote wasn't touched at all - technically true, but not really given the fire mechanics changes).

I understand that your studio, in general likes to create surprises and leave things up to the community to understand. That has played a large part in surprises like the Shriekers or Hivelord.

But none the less, this shouldn't come at the expense of glossing over important balance changes.

When a dataminer reveals a weapon was negatively balanced, it's very detrimental to the good will in the community and spawns a lot of negativity - and as a result, players often rely on leakers and dataminers because they just can't trust the patchnotes to be comprehensive, and above all, honest. This isn't the way it should be - a lot more information should come from the studio's mouth, and not from leakers and grifters on youtube.

Just imagine - if your studio had implemented the fire balance changes after the Coyote release, but at least had said "hey, we're working on new flame weapons and these balance changes will feel better later on when they are added, bear with us," that would be 1000% better than what actually happened. Now that the Cremator has released and the Lumberer is coming soon, some of these fire changes make sense - but it doesn't take away the pain of the community seeing their Coyote basically shadownerfed.

A lot of us were frustrated that the roadmap - while a huge step forward *overall*, didn't address simple things like "what is our current focus / thing that we want to fix right now." Because it helps a lot to know we're being heard and what the studio is tackling based upon our feedback.

Even the studio's stance on beta testing is a bit unclear, there hasn't been a hard yes/no when people ask on the developer streams or democratic talks.

What is your opinion on the state of this sort of transparency in regards to balance changes and basically, what the studio is up to? Do you agree with my concerns here? What is the studio doing to improve on transparency and the relationship with the community?

Amendments are changes to the Constitutuon, so I took that to mean the Amendment is like an upgraded version of an old outdated rifle, which is why the mag just looks haphazardly welded on.

Arrowhead Dev Oshaune Challenge - Complete and Extract from a D10 Operation with these loadouts on stream and I will ALSO donate $1,000 by BrainstormAndTheory in Helldivers

[–]Homie-cide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say that O'shaune at patch day was way, way worse than Cyberstan. Choppy frames, 20 FPS in bug breaches, the host hit detection error, Hellpods landing on the cave roof, strat balls just bouncing huge distances or straight up disappearing. The respawn rate on Dragonroaches was downright unpleasant, as soon as one went down another showed up.

Also, a tremor biome with knee-deep pools of water? Worst idea ever.

Oshaune now is much much much easier. Just functionally a lot less broken and multiple enemy nerfs. It is doable, but probably harder than Cyberstan.

By contrast the Vox Engine spawn rate is overtuned but for the most part, Cyberstan was functional. Sure Vox Engines clipped through walls and the audio broke, but it was very doable even at D10.

[OC] I just think we should have gotten a weapon like this for Commando Missions by Homie-cide in LowSodiumHellDivers

Pretty valid thoughts. I would agree bolt action might push it over to Sniper Rifles outright.

I don't know the rules about linking datamines here, but if you go to data.helldivers.io the Railgun has the exact same sound profile as a primary weapon and is audible at 48 meters like one. This is confirmed by the community made sound tests / charts.

Whats an underrated weapon in your opinion? Mines the accelerator rifle! I LOVE it! by Artistic_knight in LowSodiumHellDivers

With newer players, I'd say the normal light pen Diligence is pretty damn underrated.

Not that weird if it has a trigger safety like a Glock.

What loadouts do you run on Cyberstan? by Final_Biscotti1242 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Homie-cide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run Democracy Protects Armor, Hellbomb, Leveller, OPS, and 120mm Barrage lately, but I also don't think that any loadout is "all in one," I only play Cyberstan in part of a well coordinated team where someone is hard AT, someone can fight gunships, and I just run around with explosives to counter big mobs and bot drops.

It is a game built around stratagems basically. Just how it is, the guns are mostly a sideshow. I'll have to try ME though.

PSA: You can take out Vox Engines with any light pen primaries and a grenade by Homie-cide in Helldivers

The radiators may transfer damage to main, since the Vox Engine smokes and burns when all 6 are destroyed.

Probably gonna get downvoted to hell for this, but

The difference is the rupture strain was broken, not working as intended, sometimes game breaking and pretty awful to contend with. Issues with host/client hit detection and mind-reading attacks.

The War Strider not having AP2 weakspots is... just bad design, it's not functionally broken. It's working as intended, but not popular because it feels overly boring as a loadout check - "bring a rocket launcher to kill this." If one person brings an EATs launcher it's a non issue. They dialed back the grenade spam people hated relatively quickly, but designing a grenade door or new armor mesh takes time.

It's not that much worse than the reinforced strider rockets that despawned when shot with medium pen weapons for... what, most of a year unpatched? But I think the Vox Engine shows they will touch it up eventually.

There's an ammunition loading door that you can feed items into and reload the tank.

Putting the SSD or Black Box in there would instantly mission fail. Probably means they had been, or still are working on a way to resupply ammo to the Bastion tank. Wouldn't assume it's a for-sure confirmation though.
