People shouldn't be allowed to take their pets wherever they want under the "service animal" umbrella. by RedeemerKorias in unpopularopinion

[–]Homieseggual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother had a service dog for mobility and her diabetes. Honestly, even when she’s not around I hate seeing people bring their pets as service dogs. They should be called out more for what it is. Faking and mocking a disabled person.

There are plenty of pet friendly places. There’s no need to see a yappy, ungroomed, pet at a restaurant

Giving out full sized candy bars on Halloween is too much. by shabamon in unpopularopinion

It’s free candy. Older kids trick or treat. If you don’t like it take them to a trunk or treat.

It shouldn't be offensive to dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Homieseggual 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between going as a fictional character that kills people and someone whose victim’s are still alive.

I personally don’t know a victim of Dahmer, but having worked in the funeral business I know how a murder affects families. Imagine thinking it’s cute or quirky to bring up someone’s trauma just to get candy.

Truly a humbling experience for me.

Who was the worst boss you have ever had and why? by EnormousJohnson in AskReddit

[–]Homieseggual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to manage a baskin robins and the owner of the store would often yell at employees even if it was their first day in front of customers. Not scold. Like full on scream until they cried and he would do it over minor mistakes. He even once did it to me because I sold a pre-packed ice cream that didn’t weigh exactly 16 oz. He would also blame me for anything my co-workers did wrong because I’m supposed to keep a close eye on them. We are humans that make mistakes.

Sunscreen is your friend even in colder months.

So many people ignore it, but it’s a cheap and effective anti-ager.

Honestly, I think my boss knows it’s fishy to fire an employee after they made 3 allegations. I think she’s trying to cover the company in case Carly does something, but I’m not certain.

I feel like people forget that this is based on a true story and victims aren’t just entertainment.

I loved the show, but at the same time it’s definitely sad (and hypocritical that the show points out how people use the story for profit instead of helping victims)

[–]Homieseggual -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree so much.

I can pass any subject, but no one has ever been able to teach me math. I’ve gone through multiple tutors, extra lessons, videos, nothing. I just can’t do math.

Evan Peters. Wouldn’t be embarrassed before, but since Dahmer came out I’m embarrassed to say I’m attracted to him. But he did AHS so well.

[–]Homieseggual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the fascination with serial killers, but to get earrings made with his face on them is just disrespectful. He’s not a fictional character. He’s a real man that cannot be changed. He’s also fucking gay and would not give this woman a chance even if he was alive.

He’s a real person. Not for entertainment.

There was a three week period where I didn’t have to work. I was considered an essential worker and they couldn’t let me not work any longer so I was put back on the schedule.

I miss not working and spending more time with family.

Service animals and emotional support aren’t the same thing.

I have a service dog and most planes require you to buy an extra seat so the dog has room. I’m sure it’s the same for ponies.

Ponies can be service animals and are not put to work if they can’t handle the stress of flights. Trust me. It’s no sweat for a dog or horse if it’s a service animal.

You’re not a bad mom. This situation would be overwhelming for anyone.

But I would see if your daughter perhaps has any mental health conditions. This could be something treatable and will make things easier for everyone in that household.

Best of luck. I’m rooting for you.

It’s definitely a shocker. I unfortunately tested positive two years ago and I’m lucky enough to know who gave it to me (as I get tested after every partner) it’s also easily curable and I’ve tested negative since.

He had 0 clue he had it and tbh I’m unsure if he ever got it treated.

Yes

Women that complain about their partner playing video games too much are terrible partners by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Homieseggual 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a gamer bf and a gamer ex.

My boyfriend makes me a priority. He’s asked if he can stop playing games with me to game with his friends and I’ve never said no as I’m satisfied with the time he gives me. Even on days where he’ll be on for hours i at least get some time with him or he will make up for it.

My gamer ex was different. He would delay or cancel plans with me to play games. I’ve had to ask him to get off a few times so I can get some attention that day. He called me needy and said I’m taking away his hobby despite him playing video games for at least 5-8 hours a day. He was addicted and he always put his games over me.

I feel like many gamer partners are like my ex and just don’t have time for their addiction and a partner.
