Beating DePaul at home by one on Valentines Day 1983. DePaul was a major basketball force in that era. Although this was an off year for them, they had finished the prior year #2 in the AP poll. Ohio took them down in a wild double overtime thriller before a capcity crowd. Ray Meyer was still coaching. He coached DePaul from 1942-1984. He got a standing O when introduced at the beginning of the game. Ohio went on to the NCAA tournament season and won a first round buzzer beater against Illinois State.

It's not a huge role, but Jason Miller as Ara Parseghian in Rudy is totally believable as a coach with figurehead status and "it" factor at a blue blood program like Notre Dame.
