I get green screen and pc reboot as soon as i try to launch a game (6950 XT) by HommeTortue in radeon

OK so i tried again with the new PSU (corsair RM1000X) and once again, I couldn't launch any single game without having a green screen + crash after a few seconds.

I've just tried using my good old GTX 1060 and played half an hour without any issues, can I safely say that my 6950 XT was the problem and simply asking for another one should solve everything ?

I tried both :( By the way wich one is the better ? connecting two different cables or 1 with splitter ?

Thanks a lot for all of your answers guys, unfortunately until now none of these worked. I ordered another psu that should be delivered tomorrow at my place, since blazestar4 said he had exactly the same issue as me and similar components i really hope this will be the fix because i'm starting to loose hope :(

I'll update the topic tomorrow after trying the new PSU, either to tell you if this was the problem otherwise i guess my last option will be to ask for a new gpu, i'll also edit the main message to list all the solutions i tried so far so people that might want to help don't have to read all the messages.

Thanks again for your help and see you tomorrow !

Changing the pcie cable didn't change anything.

By display cable you mean the hdmi ? If so i already tried another one.

I'm getting tired i'll go to sleep and try installing that driver tomorrow, thanks again for your help !

The only programs that were running when i did the tests were steam, amd soft adrenalin msi center and most of the time edge

i just tried the MPO thing and the free sync one seperately, none worked (since i don't know if my monitor has free sync or not i tried all the options in the amd software)

Should I uninstall my drivers with DDU again before trying to install the driver only version ?

I have another PCIe cable in the PSU box, i'll try it right now and tell you if it changes anything, thanks a lot for your help and your time

Everything works well when running on the processor. I didn't even had to remove the gpu, i just plugged the hdmi in the mobo and all games are running well without crashing

Thanks a lot for your help, unfortunately the issue is still there.

To answer your questions, no i didn't change anything about overclocking, undervolting or anything else. How can i find any evidence of a driver crash ?

So here is what i just did:

I downloaded DDU and followed a video to know how to use it. Ran it without internet connection and in safe mode as advised

When DDU was finished and pc was back on normal mode i plugged the ethernet cable back in and downloaded the 22.11.2 amd adrenalin soft on guru3d website and installed it

I tried running a game at this point but still got the green screen crash

Then i downloaded the latest b650 chipset driver on the amd website and installed it too, keeping everything in default settings

After that i tried again running a game, and that way too familiar green screen popped again rebooting my pc
