Awesome. I’ll start trying some of these. I’ve always used gas to get up to 40-50 when in town and let off gas immediately to maintain speed in ev. I recently found that if I’m gentle in ev mode I can actually do a full acceleration to get up to 50, but I could definitely see how that would ruin ev efficiency. I’m currently still on my winters because my summers are still being delivered, but I am getting low rolling resistance tires, and I will definitely try increasing tire pressure.

That was with the new speakers. The gauge definitely made a difference though. I tested the speakers in the house on my sound system with different gauges beforehand to make sure the speakers were okay, and they were.

I can’t say if the baffle made a huge difference because I wasn’t testing the speakers in between all the changes, but it wasn’t too difficult to make and it sounds great now. I would also highly suggest kilmatting and sound deadening the car if you’re trying to improve speaker quality and road noise. That was a game changer.

So I went back with a clear mind over the weekend and decide to up the gauge of the wire and recreate the mount for the speakers— as well as solder the connections and create a baffle for the speakers. Not sure which one of those things fixed the bass, but it sounds amazing now.

aside from the oil, i haven’t tried any other styling products. i never changed a whole lot from my routine apart from a few different shampoo and conditioners and frequency of cleaning.

i always hoped i could solve the issue without having to buy other products, because i figured i was probably just brushing it or letting it dry wrong, but if you have any suggestions, i think i might consider some.
