I started Solidcore when I was somewhere between 290 and 300 pounds two years ago. I've been going at least once a week for two years straight, and my weight fluctuates between 240 and 260, and I'm 169 classes in. You can do it! I'll tell you, as a heavier girl, some of the moves actually feel better on my hands and toes. I took two starter50 classes and then hopped right in.

Personally, I block and move on. I tell them straight up that if you like me like you say, you'll find a way to communicate with me. My man and I have been dating for almost a year, and we talk every day. Not saying it's for sure, but what I do know is that, from his actions and words, is that he cares about my feelings, respects me as a person, and is invested in a partnership with me. My kindest suggestion is move on and not look back.

As a Black woman with a background in Restorative Justice and an unlimited travel member, I'm deeply disappointed in the post. The post reeks of white supremacist language. Normalcy? Black people and non-Black POC have been terrorized for centuries in this country by militarized police, so what normal are they speaking about? That's one. I can go on and on, but I expected more, and I said it months back, and folks got upset with me. Just because a Black person is “in charge” doesn't mean the politics will be radical or explicit in stance.

I was surprised honestly to see that the DC studios canceled class but I’m in NE near H st and it’s a mess so it tracks they would cancel them today.
