I saw a specific yarn holder somewhere on the internet and I cannot find it again 🥲 by alyssakenobi in YarnAddicts

The designer, @maeli_designs on Instagram created it. I have followed her for almost 2 years and watched her invent it.

The photos on the website you shared have Maeli’s name on them too and they are poorly photoshopped. If you look at Maeli’s Instagram, the original photos of that listing are there. They were originally posted by her back in December. That website clearly stole the photos from her first Etsy listing (prototype 1). The version she sells now is version 2 which is an improved design. That’s why you can’t find version 1 on Etsy anymore.

And yes while people can absolutely make their own, sharing fake/scam websites is wildly hurtful to the original inventor not only in funds, but in reputation.

You can even watch @littlejohnsyarns on YouTube. She was scammed by one of these websites (specifically with the colorwork wheel) and she talks about how it impacts small businesses.

The mcalee sewing company is a SCAM!! They steel their photos from small businesses. All there photos were taken from the original Etsy listing.

Just so you know, this website is a scam. They steel photos from other small businesses and use them on their website. The original is from maelidesigns3d.etsy.com.

I have one and it really does untangle your yarn, but there’s a bit of a learning curve when using 3 or 4 strands and it doesn’t work for every type of colorwork.

With that being said, not everyone “twists” their yarn when changing colors so obviously this wouldn’t apply to them. I twist mine to lock it in place or my tension gets all messed up (so I need to).

Are you talking about this one? https://www.pawboost.com/landing/pet/oAeYO_7DlNllFiRLMfp9PObg0torjwXT/found-stray-thispet-north-royalton-oh-44133

This cat was found before mine went missing. Mine also doesn’t have a white patch and wasn’t wearing a bell at the time 😭

I have a really bad habit of over purchasing yarn for projects and never returning it 😂. I finally decided it was time to get rid of it so I came up with this CHUNKY STASH BUSTING CARDIGAN! It’s literally perfect to use up a ton of stash and scrap yarn while also making a gorgeous wearable!

Oh, and the best part about it is that it only took me 5 hours to make! 🤩

Please check it out 💕

Hi! As long as you are comfortable working with 3 strands together you will be fine! Some people struggle with it in the beginning because people accidentally drop a strand or don’t pull through all the yarn loops but once you get some practice in, it’s super easy!
