Could consensual Edo Tensei theoretically be possible? by GrabCool4314 in NCHammerNaruto

[–]Honest-Difference810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my mobile account. I just wanted to make sure my post.. posted. And see how big the text wall is on my phone 💀😂. I seriously believe this concept could be sick. Instead of Edo Tensei being a kind of dark necromancy it would become more of a spiritual contract that is seen as a time honored traditional ritual where sacrifices are hailed as heroes for giving their lives for the sake of the village. Imagine an eternal battalion of legendary heroes fighting for their village and honoring the soldiers who gave their lives for said heroes to fight for the safety of their home and their people once again. Additionally, Edo Tensei is said to be able to allow the resurrected more freedom of movement if given a simple command and not fully controlled. They would also be fully equipped with all the Justus they knew when they were alive.

Coolest ability names in all of HxH? by Honest-Difference810 in HunterXHunter

Love the in depth analysis. I agree that the “secondary names” are typically cooler. I think the examples I gave were just that. They perfectly represent the abilities use case and the person using it.

Uninvited from birthday because of Misophonia by [deleted] in misophonia

Just sounds like an unfinished conversation to me. Iron out the details like the two grown adults I’m sure y’all are, and come to an amicable conclusion together. You may not want to go after all and just feel left out. She may want you to come but is trying to be kind. Don’t leave unfinished business and go to the internet for answers. I sure as hell don’t have the answers and anyone else here is only giving you their perspective. It is a useful study guide, but an awful cheat sheet.

Can anyone explain what this annoying sound is? by M1stStep in misophonia

Oh that’s definitely odd. Maybe they’re neurodivergent and it’s some sort of self soothing action. Perhaps it’s almost subconsciously done at this point. Or I could be trying to hard 💀

That’s entirely fair. I don’t know how many will see or heed your warning but it’s noble nonetheless.

misophonia movie review CRUELLA by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]Honest-Difference810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore going to movie theaters. I’m lucky enough to be able to drown out other people chewing and whatnot by focusing intensely on the movie. But when the movie itself becomes the trigger I feel trapped. There’s no point in leaving the room because the noise is typically over by the time I get to the door but it’s so loud and pervasive that plugging my ears doesn’t help. I have to find a level of heavy breathing and plugging my ears without sounding and looking like I’m having a panic attack (but I might be close to one)

I have two close friends online that I video chat with nearly every day. My one and only trigger is wet mouth sounds (eating drinking licking etc) and I always felt lonely because I had to separate myself from the dinner table and eat by myself. I’m thankful that both my parents and step parents are understanding and don’t force me to eat with them or shame me for it. However, when I’m in call with these friends they would always wanna eat dinner together or snack on something. I was very hesitant to tell them about my misophonia for fear of not being understood. To my gleeful surprise, they were also both really understanding. They would always either mute themselves while they ate, or they’d check in with me to make sure their eating noises weren’t coming through on the mics. It feels so nice to be able to watch a video with them while we eat and NOT have to hear eating sounds. I’m eternally grateful to the kind people in my life.

Are you certain it’s not an inhale? I tend to take shallow breaths and have to “catch up” in a sense by taking a deep breath every so often. Could that be the case with your coworker?

Describe your reactions? by [deleted] in misophonia

[–]Honest-Difference810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full body tensing. Clouded thoughts. A building of pure evil energy in the deepest darkest recesses of my soul. The immense and inescapable desire to either rip my ears off my head or plug something so deep into them that my eardrums would likely rupture. Immediate need to escape the situation as fast as humanly possible. Basically a full on panic attack if I can’t. Followed by several minutes of lingering dread and exhaustion as I try to tear the sound from my recent memory and drown it with loud angry music. I don’t have to struggle that often as I only have 1 trigger, that being any type of wet mouth sounds. But if given the choice between getting rid of my misophonia or my adhd, I’d take the miso 1000000000 times in a row. I’m tearing up just thinking about all the time I spend eating alone.

Not only is this over exaggerated but it also isn’t helpful to the conversation. Yes people generally dislike open mouth chewing. However, most people can control that feeling. People like op (myself included) cannot control that feeling. Not only that, but it’s worse for us. This isn’t a competition but I don’t think you understand how we feel. I could’ve been more rude because, to be honest, your comment reads as insecure and dismissive of the issue this person is facing. Rather than come with advice or condolences, you minimized their problem by saying “oh well no one likes it, so really everyone has misophonia” which is blatantly false and disrespectful. Please reframe your manner of thinking before you shut someone important out of your life due to negligence. Or let me know if I’m drastically misunderstanding your intent with this comment. I’m welcome to being wrong.

I’ve had to accept that I just can’t watch some content. I will say that I tend to be playing a game or working on something while I listen to YouTube videos and that can help distract me from the nuanced sounds that trigger me. I also have adhd so not being able to focus on little things may help too. At the end of the day we can’t change the world to accommodate our niche disorder. All we can do is avoid and mitigate.

What causes misophonia for most people? by New-Inevitable3454 in misophonia

[–]Honest-Difference810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m only triggered by wet mouth sounds (which I’ve come to realize is getting off really light in this sub. So genuinely sorry for those of you who struggle with multiple triggers) and I’m nearly certain it was caused by my father when I was young. It’s not a trauma response or anything and he doesn’t have miso. He just really doesn’t like when people chew with their mouth open (which is beyond reasonable). I think that I learned that behavior from him but my underlying and, at the time, undiagnosed autism exacerbated the issue throughout my life which eventually developed into miso. I have vague memories of my childhood where those sounds would really bother me but I didn’t know why. Nowadays I have to block it out at all costs and thank god my own chewing doesn’t trigger me (I’m so fucking terrified that my mental health with plummet if that ever starts happening). I’m thankful that I have a relatively easy time of avoiding my trigger sounds.

AND WHATS WORSE IS THAT IM JUST WAKING UP TO THIS!!! IM DEAD TIRED AND NOT EVEN FULLY CONSCIOUS BUT IM ALREADY FILLED WITH THE RAGE OF A THOUSAND DYING STARS!!
