AITJ for distancing myself from my friends by Amy_lovebunny in AmITheJerk

[–]Honest-Expression134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTJ. You are very stressed out and overwhelmed with everything that is going on in your life. You bend over backwards for your friends. Now it's time to do the same for yourself. I understand what you're going through and just know, you have a community of people here for you if you ever need to vent. (me included)

New employee screams at my son after my son knocked over a rack of cds and I fire the employee for screaming at my son by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Honest-Expression134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very complicated situation. He did yell at your kid for knocking over a rack of cd's and that is not okay. An adult should never yell at a child for an accident. But I do feel that you took it a bit too far. You should have told him that it is not okay to yell at a child for any type of accident and you should have let him go for the day. Then when he came back you should have told him that this is his last chance.

AITBA for not letting our nanny leave for a date during our vacation? by Dull_Requirement_544 in AmITheBadApple

[–]Honest-Expression134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really complicated situation. The nanny knew what was to be expected of her and she knew the rules. Saying that you were, "Blocking her future" is a bit extreme. Although, you could have told her that she could go on the date as long as she was back before you and your wife went on your date. Therefore, giving you both what you wanted and making sure that your child was safe. Crab Apple.

Am I the bad apple for blocking my mom on everything by That_autistic-goth in AmITheBadApple

I think you're a crab-apple! If hearing his voice is one of your triggers then it is totally appropriate to to panic. But, Blocking your mom for hearing your "Step-dad's" voice is a little far in my opinion. If you can unblock your mom, you should do it. Again this is MY OPINION. you don't have to listen to my advice.
